What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. I'm finally back after an absolutely wonderful Christmas and New Year holiday with my son and all the family. First one for years! Didn't take my levels once because my monitor went missing, but now have another and it said 8.7 this morning. :banghead: There is obviously work to be done! Have a good weekend everyone. It's so nice to be back with my other family. :singing:

FBG 5.0 this morning!...,

Although, Libre sensor had a dicky fit last night and told me my blood glucose had plummeted to 3.1! upon finger prick testing it was 6.5...( I had been out playing pool with my friends, so could be due to stress? I'm quite competitive..)

Have a great day and fight the good fight!

Have been away at son's in Wiltshire for a few days child minding. I've not been testing as I put my glucose tester somewhere safe and then couldn't find it. Will start testing again once I relocate it. Haven't been eating out of the ordinary so hoping bloods are not too bad.

I think I was 6.7 this morning….
I’m adding a wee bit of carbs to my diet as a test. So today it was half an apple with almond butter.....It was ok…but honestly the apple had no flavour….how disappointing.
Hi @Bcgirl.

I used to love apples. Traditional English varieties like a crisp and juicy Cox's Orange Pippin have a kick to them, but modern cultivars such as Gala and Golden Delicious have been selected for sweetness. Not only is the flavour disappointing, super sweet apples are the last thing the world needs for good health! Unfortunately, they sell.

Totally agree, I love finding the old varieties! The new ones are way too sweet.
