What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Managed to make it to hollibobs destination (a lodge in forest, Yorkshire) with most of the house in the back of the car... spotted I'd packed the bedroom tv remote .
6.9 this morning. If I stay in 6s this week I'll be very happy.

Enjoy your Sunday, and hugs to those that need them, obviously @Estragon

6.4 - This Post-Xmas plateau keeps reminding me of my condition. Well, the upside of this is that when I should slide toward the Hive Front door, the numbers should be more sustainable.

Enjoy and relax on your Sunday with Hugs All around!!

Morning chums. An fbg of 8.0 today but pretty confident that will drop heavily today as I'm out birding all day with my son. Lots of walking so I'm confident that will help.

Its a glorious day albeit freezing (thank G-d for thermals) and at dawn the mist over the estuary looked heavenly as I watched Brent geese and redshank on the shoreline.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and manage to get out as the weather is glorious

Morning folks...

4.9 this morning.

Had steak, broccoli and pan fried brussels last night, bg of 5.3 after that, hardly a rise at all until I had a shower a few hours later, then it rose to 6.4, for a couple of hours, not sure what's going there...!....bg then decreased to 5.0 by 1am and stayed there until just before I got out of bed, and then just a little bump as expected.

I do find tracking what happens to my body fascinating even if I don't always know what's going on!

Have a great day and keep safe!

I'm sure being active will help, I now practice time restricted eating and can function from waking until midday without sustenance, (as long as I have my coffee with butter and cream!)

I hope you enjoy you're day out, sounds like you have a wonderful landscape to explore!

Well I don't understand this and it’s happened a few times before, maybe someone can explain? I got up had a wee, walked through to the kitchen, washed my hands and tested 6.0mmols at 7:20am. Bounced the ball a few times down the hall for the dogs to chase, let them in the garden, went to let the chickens out. I decided to test again (20mins later) and it was 5.6! Is the Dawn phenomenon in reverse! A couple of times it’s fallen from being in the 8s to low 6s! No food or drink taken between tests, not even water. I’m intrigued

Morning all a welcome 5.4 again. Average for last 7 days has been 5.5 so very happy with that. I’ve also managed to stay in range 95% for last 88 days. For a type 1 the target is 75% in range so rocking the numbers

Glorious sunny, very frosty, Sunday!
Libre 5.8
Finger prick 6.7
Hmmm, still not a great result. Maybe because of a very restless night and I had a late 9pm “meal” consisting of a thick slice of ham and a Baby Sweet pepper, wonderfully crunchy, with butter mayo. I wasn’t hungry earlier and had no dinner.

Libre 5.7
Day 10 & still ill, upped the carbs a bit mainly to eat more calories
Take care & enjoy your weekend everyone
Oh dear. So sorry you're still feeling rough @DEBBIESCOTT. There's a lot of it about.
I think we should move Christmas. The shops are so busy and there's some unshakeable viral infections doing the rounds.

Wishing you a decent night's sleep and as much rest as possible during the day.

Evening @Welshman1952

Can't think of a lovelier way to lower blood glucose levels than birding with family on a January day in anticyclonic conditions. Bitterly cold I expect, but good light and visibility is everything. Hope the tides turned in your favour and you logged lots of species!

Good morning
Libre 7
Day 12 & still ill , blood sugar in double figures most of yesterday (3 mile walk didn’t really help) neither has doubling medication
going back to work this morning but will be ringing specialist nurse at 9am
Take care everyone
