How on earth can an individual make intelligent, urgent, appropriate and relevant decisions without our evidence based results acquired from using monitoring devices in the home.See, despite what that doctor said to me, (not that I believed them anyway) testing IS a useful motivating factor.

In Lincolnshire too, mine is one of the ones that were named last year as being the worst in the countyMorning all. I'm in the nasty 9's this morning. Today starts a new weekforme so I'm going to write everything down and be ultra careful. I'm also going to ring the dr and ask for help, I can't seem to do it myself. @DEBBIESCOTT, it's the same with our surgery here in Lincolnshire. I can remember when we went to the dr, we took a seat and every time someone came out, the next one went in and we all moved up a seat. Sometimes they were the good old days! Have a good day all.
And again, evidenced-based results. @ravensmitten - Go kick posteriors!Seeing 5.1 this morning makes me likely to want to repeat my behaviours from yesterday also.
Thanks for your reply LivingLightly.Evening @Ashybang. This morning's reading of 6.9 mmol is none too shabby after a rough night.
Are these sinus headaches, bilious attacks, tension headaches or migraine that you suffer from?
Not idle curiosity, the prevention and remedies for various types of headache are different.
I hope you were able to take it easy today and feel better this evening.
Do you think you are drinking enough H2O? Being dehydrated affects me greatly. Also, I find a good "soak" during the day aids me in obtaining lower numbersTo be honest I don't know what has brought headaches on, but I had the same again last night.

Sinus headaches tend to start early in life and often run in families. A stuffy nose plus facial pain over the eyes and cheeks in addition to the headache is typical and the pain gets worse when you lie down. Boots the Chemist carry an own brand decongestant tablet which is effective. Thanks for your reply LivingLightly.
To be honest I don't know what has brought headaches on, but I had the same again last night. Once again Paracetamol couldn't remove the pulsing pain.
I was okay for the most part of the day yesterday and am fine again today.
If it happens again tonight, I may get checked at GP surgery.
This morning my BG was 8.6 mmol. I felt drained and went back to bed.
My sinuses have been a bit blocked and very dry mouth, but I've been hydrated ok.
I'll see where it goes tonight .....fingers crossed it doesn't return.

So-called tension headaches are the most common type. A steady ache, rather than a pulsing or throbbing pain is typical and tends to affect both sides of the head, but is sometimes one-sided. Usually, this type of headache doesn't cause sensitivity to light or sound and improves when you lie down on the side that hurts most. Paracetamol taken every 4 hours should provide pain relief.
A bilious headache is almost always accompanied by nausea and sometimes other gastric symptoms which you haven't mentioned.
Migraine typically runs in the family and starts fairly early in life. A one-sided headache and increased sensitivity to light or sound is characteristic. Visual disturbances are common. Sufferers usually learn to recognise the signs and sometimes the triggers of an impending migraine attack, so commence treatment early.
There are other less common causes. It's good to know you're feeling fine today, but should it happen again this week, I'd certainly seek a medical opinion.
