What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Useful information, I will try that sometime, so I don’t have to keep lying in bed.
I only once tried testing in bed, didn't work out for me. Wanted so badly to wash my hands. So my procedure is: Come downstairs, wash my hands wait about 5 mins to reduce the effects of the walking downstairs, then test. If result is not what I am expecting, I wash my hands again and test once more.. Works for me - sometimes...

Hi Folks 5.6 this morning. Liking these lower numbers, just not sure why I am seeing them, except I have missed a couple of meals over the last couple of days maybe eating less is better for me.

Note my formatting options across the top of the window are greyed out so I can't embolden or add emojis etc.. I don't think I have done anything to modify this. Can I ask are other peoples' OK?

I am really unsure of the mechanics of testing as for me it just appears to be TIME related as opposed to activity. If I test first thing on waking and then 2 hours later irrespective of having a lie-in obviously not having eaten my BS goes up approximately 2.0 notches. It does exactly the same if I get up, move about doing the chores etc. Maybe I should try for more lie-ins..........I wished.

I just wonder if the rise is just a symptom of my body coming back to life after a long sleep (LOL makes me sound like Dracula) but I hope you get my drift. It is only until after my first meal that the BS readings go up and down according to my meal choices.
