What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

holy smokes….you guys are getting colder temperatures than most of Canada!

Warmed right up here at the mo. Mind you it’s zero degrees c and blowing a hullee.

Oh yea 6 on the finger pricking devise

Hmm...interesting this....prior to my T2 diagnosis (HBA1C of 50 dammit) my early morning waking up numbers were always 8.5 plus. I was told this was quite normal as liver stores glucose until waking and then floods the body in order to kick start us into the day. Since diagnosis and metformin and a virtually sugar free and low carb (<100g daily) diet regime...it's usually about 6.1-6.5....today it was 6.5. I have a fortnightyl full english breakfast treat with a mate, no toast or beans though, and 2 hours after that it was 6.2. I think this shows progress.

Blimey ( hope I’m allowed to say such a thing), it’s just that although the temperature here has raised slightly it’s raining cats and other small mammals and the house temperature has dropped to 15C overnight.

That’s the lowest it’s been and I’m having to rethink what I set the boiler control so it’s not uncomfortable to get out of bed.

Oh yea 6.1 on the contour next jabbing machine

Morning all. I hardly dare admit.....8.6! I know I have an awful chesty cough and feel off, but I didn't expect that.
Don't worry about your Bg you are fighting off infection ...my take on that is your liver is giving you some extra help ( it just doesn't feel like it .
