What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.4 this morning on the finger prick. Sadly the CGM has expired and is just a hard to remove sticky ring on my arm, Looking forward to flying out on hols at early o'clock tomorrow so likely random posting but will still be trying to test in secret several times a day, Has to be in secret as my family hate my "obsession" with BS and diet unfortunately as like many non diabetics "they just don't understand."

9.9 mmol this morning - currently on Day 2 on prednisolone. (Asthma trigger due to bush fire smoke in the air yesterday.)

So through the day 12 to 20 mmol.. got it down very slowly to 14.5 mmol by drinking water - moderate ketones levels currently.

And only eat 15 gram of protein food as well for breakfast and lunch plus dinner. As can't win when glucose go back up too high for after meals.

Will check it again in 2 hours.

Esp I'm not on insulin injections for this. Coz Doctor says my Hba1c is 5.3% well controlled Type 2 Diabetes. :banghead:

My family are exactly the same especially hubby, whose hba1c is higher than mine!

6.1 today. It’s a mucky mess out back with the melting snow during the day and freezing at night. Just back from the gym and a dog walk. Time to eat! I hear the bacon call my name. I’m trying to wean off my cashew addiction. It’s the only carbs I eat but I really need to tone it down a bit.
