What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.4 shocked zero insulin yesterday :O honeymoon

back pain has flared up :( cold getting a little worse :/

DSN calling me later on today, wish they would give timeframe. anyhow 5:40am making a start of house chores just finished breakfast and afterwards working out questions to ask eg "what can do to extend this period", "what foods to avoid". i asked last time at what point of blood glucose does your own body start to dump sugar when low hoping can get a reply on that.

5.7 first thing. Both pleased and a little surprised as have been experimenting with diet since fitting CGM a week ago. As expected some foods evil and others slightly better which is showing in results. Quite by accident rather than design fasted yesterday for almost 24 hours and less than 30g carbs in evening so not really sure what the contributing factor was.

4.8. @ 6.45 Dropped from 13.5 at 10.30pm This was safe but if it is 8 - 10 overnight I do a fingerprick when I wake at night. If the reading is 6 @ 2am I take a swig of Appletise because . I dont know how far the reading will drop by 6.30 - 7 which is another 5hrs away, there could be a hypo in the near future if I dont do that. Really puzzled by both the high reading and the 50% drops overnight and how far a 2am reading will drop
Metformin 500 x 2 and 1x Insulin 6.45 _ 7am. @22 UNITS

something you can possibly add to the equation is time of day :P eg apparently i handle carbs better as day progresses ... so confused by that but hey ho :)

Me too.

Dr. Mosley did an experiment with students that showed they tolerated carbs better in the morning.

I’m guessing as we grow older our tolerance changes

Libre 4.6 by time downstairs 5.4
DSN call wasn't as helpful as hoped. Check ketones when feel unwell drink lots fluids. If ketones above 0.4 call them back. Other bits of info Lada honeymoon stage most likely can last days weeks months can even last years in some cases. No dietary advice. No advice on how to elongate body own insulin production. To keep eye on sugar levels if see constantly rising over a few days to call them. If teens for a few hours check ketones then call. Brightside of the call cgm will be essential to treatment so I don't have to worry about funding that. Although would of made it work as feel it's super useful. Ketones I've asked drs for urine strip rather than have to stab self and get via bloods unsure now if that was a good idea. Needing to research rules with driving what to do with current 3 year medical licence with 5 to drive..

Five point three on the libre as I drink coffee in the yard at six twenty am

The sun is out the birds are quietly chirping the sky is blue

I’m debating if I do really need an x ray after a probable knee dislocation last week

A blend of waking from nightmares to pain and discomfort at night

Now the peace and sanity of day.

Decisions, decisions.
