What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

good luck hopefully in one go is possible :) bet you'll enjoy breakfast after your tests are done when hungry everything to me tastes so much better :)

curious what effect caffiene can have on blood tests?

Oh the coffee after the blood test is the best !

6.4 this morning. Finally managed to arrange my A1c after much procrastinating and put off stupid really as I always get stressed when I get the initial test reminder until the actual test. Stress of course puts my overall bloods up. It took 3 appt tries to fit me in, it's for the 17th and is around 4:00. I wont be eating anything on the day until after test, as have high cholesterol so i need to fast for it. Tongue will be hanging out by 4:00 so its going to be lots of water. Definitely wont be having coffee until later. Thanks for the reminder. Just hope my A1c results manage to be lower than the cutoff, as I have had a difficult year.

Went to the gym, as usual, and had a great workout. The sun is out today so I’m heading to the garden once I’m finished my iced coffee.

4.2 ..................still waiting or the DN to call, maybe she will today?
EDIT: DN just phoned and is 'thrilled' by my recent results. No Insulin needed ( at least for now ) and another HBa1C due mid August. If that's all ok, I can go ahead with my replacement knee surgery :)

7.1 which is great for me . It was 12 at bedtime.
No testing at 2am nor the dilemma re a 5 or 6 Eat or not eat ? to prevent later hypo
dr suggestion of more carb at teatime seems to have stopped the nighttime worries and dilemmas. Not sure why I get a 40 _ 50% drop overnight

So tested this morning, FBG came in at 5.6. Wow! Although I had been very careful the day before, I was definitely suspicious so immediately tried again. Bloods 6.4. That's much more usual but I've got to admit, I definitely preferred the first number.
