5.8 today….i had a meltdown yesterday, full on cry. No carbs for two weeks, no snacking, not eating after 5….and still my blood sugar seems high….high sixes during the day. I’m so incredibly frustrated but also know that my pancreas is not all there…the tail is shrivelled and dead. Low carb will not always work….
So I ate a small bit of low carb granola, a huge treat. Then for breakfast today I had three tablespoons of yogurt (very low carb) with a bit of granola. Blood sugars did increase but not awful. I mentally feel better.

I share your pain and frustration. Recently I went low carb (well approx below 30g per day) for just over 2 1/2 weeks when family were away and I could be in total control of my diet. I wanted to lower my numbers but the 1st morning figure stayed the same as did the gradual rise throughout the morning despite exercise, sometimes still fasting and doing everything I thought was right.5.8 today….i had a meltdown yesterday, full on cry.
