What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.5 at 5:15

Did binge some candy last night so self inflictet , but a bit angry with myself....did all the right things all day but finished right before sleep with binging marshmallows..
You would be better of with Marshmallow plant tea. After all the Marshmallow plant is what "Marshmallows" where originally made from.

I'm working sorry
I love YORK great place

How long did you fast?

I generally try not to eat too late (dinner about 18.00 or 19.00pm), and have only a couple of cups of tea in the evening and again after I've done my FBG test in the morning, then breakfast between about 07.00 and 08.00am so maybe about 10-12 hours (depends on whether you're including the cups of tea.

Hi new to the forum have been diagnosed with Type
2 for some time, recently been on a bit of a health kick lost 2 stone and sarted taking blod readings more seriously. This morning it was 3.3 this seems low

4.3 this morning compared to 4.0 yesterday . I know why - because I ate a snack around midnight . I also know that because of that my overall average today is likely to go up. ( 4.4 yesterday) I will have a guess right now and say that the average today will be 4.8 assuming I stick to 30g or less of carbs today and do a reasonable amount of exercise . It will be interesting to see if I'm close !

Hi new to the forum. Recently decided to be more pro active with my type 2 diabetes have lost 2 stone and eating healthy. This morning my reading was 3.3 is this a bit low?

My personal experience has been that I used to have more very low fluctuations earlier on than I do now. I decided that for me, my body had not quite got used to the new ways of eating, and thus now and again overcompensated with insulin for carbs that were not going to arrive . Over time this has smoothed out . If you are not taking any medications you should find there is no need to worry as your body should naturally compensate and you should find it kicks back into the 5 range quite quickly. Also this level is not actually out of a " normal" person's experience.
