6.8 today. And for someone who has always suffered with dawn phenomena and always been over 10 in the morning, I'm happy with that! Reached a stone loss too
Back to topic ! 4.2 average fasting today - I predicted 4.8 average for full day yesterday - was actually only 4.6 which proves scientifically that what I had thought was a " good dieting day " with no cheating actually WAS good dieting day . meal out tonight might be more of a challenge - goal today to stay at 4.6
@Freema - you very nearly made it - limit the grub today and you will be back at under 6 in no time. By the way not sure if you are using a libre. If not my actual finger prick test for fasting was 4.9 now not the 4.2 average and that's because the dp is kicking in. you might find your overnight averages are already in the mid 5's
If it is any help to you - one thing I have using the libre is that whatever my number just before bed time, my blood sugar remain at or below that number all night long, it is only on waking up that the figure rises beyond that. So if you are anything like me ( which in many other respects you seem to be) - you probably did spend most of the night well under 6.Yes I was disapointed right before sleep my number was 5.2 so thought everything would be ideal , slept horrible on the other hand woke at least 5 times
Thanks it's not easy getting back into it,had no kitchen for three weeks take a ways and the like to eat but I will get back into the 6s. KHi everyone
BG - 7.7
When you drink your body treats alcohol as more toxic than sugar , so it deals with that in preference to manufacturing glucose, hence many of us have lower blood sugar levels after drinking. A " few" vodka's on ice " usually" does sound like a fair it of alcohol- so please be careful that in getting " good " blood sugars - you are not giving yourself alcoholic fatty liver disease instead of the non alcoholic fatty liver disease - both are equally bad for you.
My own fasting number 4.0 today - funnily enough the result of three single malts !
