What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi,
I am T2 and my FBS is always relatively high. This morning it was 7.6 and it is regularly around this mark. However, my A1c has been locked on 6.1 for 18 months (4 consecutive tests) and I am happy with this number.
I am due to be tested for sleep apnoea, but I am very confident that this is not an issue.
My doctor suspects that it is the high amounts of saturated fats in my diet that is forcing up my FBS in the morning. My cholesterol and trig readings are within the required limits, but I do smash the hamburgers, fish & chips, bacon etc.
I do not take any medication for my diabetes. I only use a lower carb-high fat diet and bitter melon tea.
Does anyone have any suggestions to reduce my FBS?
Thanks

Peter

Hi @McGints11 you should probably start your own thread for this, but in the meantime look up dawn phenomenon.
