Hi Diabeticliberty
What a lovey dog great walking partners, wishing you many happy years. K
Good morning everyone
Speaking of dogs Louie is seemingly a little better today, he's just walked all over me to get onto the back of settee.
Welcome to my world of dogs!![]()
Back to business BG this morning 5.9 pleased with this but it doesn't stay for long.
I've been looking at a diet for gout a friend sent me everything I should eat for gout is the exact opposite of what I eat for diabetes, how can I maintain my BG levels and stay pain free from gout? I'm on low carb high fat diet but not so much high fat has I used to be. The gout diet is high carb low fat hardly any proteins but lots of carbs certain veg I should not have but lots of fruit. It's a nightmare follow gout diet, but risk my health raised BG levels if anyone else here has any answers especially if they too have gout and type2 diabetic I would love some advice on how to handle it. K
What a happy, peppy, puppy. Full of mischief.
Are you on medication for the gout.? eg allopurinol.? Personally i would tend to maintan present BG levels but we are all different

Hi Ymdawd, Yes I'm on Colchicine 500mcg one tablet twice a day and they are working but unsure how long I will need to take them for I have been given 56 tablets so it's anyones guess. My blood tests for gout etc. are back but I have to wait to see doctor on Friday afternoon to discuss results.
I feel I will need to also discuss this diet problem and which way to proceed. I agree my BG levels are important to me but apparently gout is not something to ignore either, thanks for asking will let you know the outcome . K
Me tooI know that feeling too![]()
