What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I dont know the 8/9 what is it.... I have used the 16/8 model eating in at the most 8 hours of the day and fasting in the 16 hours but mostly in 17 hours...

when fasting a lot the liver which is very active in type 2 diabetes sometimes overcompensate and produses more glucose from the excess proteins one eat in the previous days... many or most diabetics type 2 have the dawn phenomenon which mean that their level of blood glucose is raised even before they have eaten anything at all in the morning... and to some it keeps raising untill they eat a meal..
I have lowered my morning blood glucose a bit but by very hard work like training 4 hours in a fitness center burning up to 1450calories a day there... but it has only lowered my dawn phenomenon by like 0.8mmol

do you measure your BG more times a day and do you count the amount of both carbs and proteins ?
and do you eat more than 1 gram of protein pro kg body-weight ?

Nope - 8/9 means 8 pm or 9 pm!
 
I found the thread. No Freema the poster is saying that he doesn't eat after 8 o'clock in the evening, sometimes one hour later at 9 o'clock in the evening! Don't worry! lol
 
Sorry I don't eat after 8 in the evening or sometimes the latest 9,Then I do my bloods next morning between 7and 8 and they are always around the 8.2 .They don't be to bad during the day as I'm very active ,sorry for the confusion

it is quite normal to have raised blood glucose in the mornings, you should try count your carbs to like 80 grams a day and the same for proteins like 80 grams the rest fats (nuts , cream, oils, butter coconut) and leafy greens... if you don´t already do that... give it a try and try not to eat from 18 o´clock til next morning til 10 o´clock next day
