What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi Granny_grump. I had my mini electric blanket from Argos. It was more expensive but has several settings and is soft and flexible so can be placed/ curved around the parts that hurt. I sometimes keep mine on a low setting all night to help me sleep. The disadvantage v a microwave heat pad is it that has to be within reach of an electric socket or extension but you don't have to keep getting up to reheat it.

@dogslife thanks for that will take a look to see what they have and hopefully can get myself and my eldest lad one, they do sound really good, a bit like a mini electric blanket. K

@Granny_grump_ On the Amazon site they have a good choice of shapes and sizes of electric pads including one for knees.Last winter I bought my hubby a chargeable battery one for back pain.He finds it really good because he can walk around, and it helps a lot.

Morning...been on duty since 11pm last night...it ends at 7am this morning...crossing my fingers...toes & anything else I can there are no more calls...dealt with five so far...beginning at 01:40...the last (?) one twenty minutes ago...now five clients to deal with...looks like it's going to be a longgggggggggggg day...HELP!...have tested earlier...around 3am...at 5.1...coffee coffee & more coffee needed...hoping that gets me through the day!

Hi Team,

Just like to let you know that I've reached the 5 stone lost mark (in 4 months), so thought I'd have a cheat day! Been fasting for a month, so decided to have fish and chips followed by a mince pie with cream! Yummmeeee!

Back to the grindstone tomorrow. Lettuce and celery with added bird seed.

Give me your feedback
Congratulations thats brilliant

@G1raffe Well done that's an awful lot to lose in such a short time, are you feeling ok with such a drastic diet. Don't get me wrong I admire your determination in the goals you've set yourself and I'm not aware of the weight loss you want to lose, but wouldn't it be better and healthier done less drastically.
How are you going to maintain your weight loss and BG levels if you don't know what foods will keep you on track. But you cannot fast forever?
Perhaps a bit more details about yourself i.e.:- age ,weight loss goal, etc. Do you do any Excersise and how are you health wise.
I'm not being nosy just trying to see a bigger picture.
I myself have lost 4st 3 pound but over 12 months and my body is showing signs of it, but I'm in my 70 s so wouldn't expect anything else. And are you getting help and advice from your medical team with all of this. Forgive me if I've offended you with all of these questions just concerned! K

o
6.9 for me today happy with that considering the big fat kebab làst night have a great weekend all
oh you very naughty person you. kebabs at the weekend usually have a liquid intake prior if you enjoyed it and its a rare one off no biggie. every day obviously thats diffrent. quite shocked when i saw how many carbs where in one.

Morning all. 7.6 at 8am. Higher than I'd like but lower than I was expecting as I've started with a proper old fashioned cold and treated myself to a slice of hot buttered toast just before bedtime. Well, they say "Feed a cold" and I was suddenly hungry! :angelic::hungry:;) Have a good day and keep warm.:)
