Merry Christmas to the whole group.
Enjoy the day, it is but once a year!

Good Morning. I woke up at 55mg ( 3.1mmol.), normal range is 80mg -150mg (4.4mmol - 8.3mmol.)for me. When I went to bed it was 496mg ( 27.6mmol.). Over the last 4-5 days my reading have been either really high or really low. My readings normally had been in the 200's, (11.1mmol.), which is still high, but not as bad as it is now, and I hardly ever had any double digit readings, ( below 100 )(5.6mmol), . Something has changed and I don't know what it could be. Tomorrow I'm going to the V.A. to try and find out what's going on. It is really frustrating and kind of scary, but my clinic is closed today and I don't want to be in the emergency room for Christmas. I have stopped taking my short term because I am getting such low readings I am afraid that the Novolog would really bottom me out. If I wake up at 55 (3.1mmol) taking nothing but my Lantus at 8PM last night when I was 496 (27.6mmol)., I can imagine that the Novolog would literally have knocked me out if I had taken it. I even woke up in the middle of the night and ate an Ice Cream Bar and yet still woke up at 55mg.(3.1mmol) Normally eating that would have put me in the 200mg (11.1mmol). range when I wake up. Sorry I am so long winded, I'm just scared and frustrated.
