What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all libre says 3.6 and meter says 4.4 was meant to be going out to saltwater brig for my birthday dinner tonight but had to cancel as my nanny who has dementia is in hospital with pneumonia

Good morning all. Blood sugars were 5.2 today.

@PenguinMum -- So sorry to read about your kitchen. Most importantly, though, you are safe. I hope you don't have to replace the entire kitchen.
@Ziggy2017 -- Happy birthday wishes. I'm sorry you don't get to celebrate tonight.
@shelley262 -- It sounds as if you had a wonderful time in Greece -- I am happy for you, you deserved it.
@ianpspurs -- Sounds like you are having a wonderful time with five generations of your family at your place.

Morning All. Made it to Lyme Regis yesterday for friends birthday but took wheelchair as cant walk. Had a lovely catch up with old friends but cutting the visit short and heading home today. No BG to report accidentally left glucose monitor at home.
Back to my sofa and ice packs required.
@ziggy_w no damage to the kitchen at all and lucky escape.
@shelley262 have a safe joirney home. So glad you had a great time revharged the batteries and maintained great BG levels.
@ianpspurs have a fantastic day with your family.
Enjoy Sunday everyone and stay safe.

@PenguinMum Sorry to hear your travails - head safely for the sofa and ice packs and focus on yourself. The part people forget at their peril, is the "as thyself" in love thy neighbour as thyself. Still, what do I know, simple soul that I am

6.3 this morning and fourth day of antibiotics. My doc has me set for another blood test next Friday so I'm not happy that my average daily bg has been higher than usual for the a few weeks.
Feel for you @HarrisonK but this is about the long game. Have you not said there is some stress at work and the antibiotics are clearly for a reason. Seems like your body is dealing with big stressors "manfully" (not come across personfully, sorry). You're a warrior sir, respect.

5.4 at 7.10 am. Bedtime reading was 5.2 at 11.15 pm.

Finally back in the 5s after what's been a frustrating few days with morning readings. Had a fast day yesterday and walked about eight miles. Probably do the same again today, though maybe not as much walking - Australian Rugby League Grand Final on the TV this morning, Russian Grand Prix at lunchtime and Ryder Cup this afternoon.

Don’t worry my birthday isn’t until Tuesday and we are we scheduling for next week :)

Good morning all. 5.8 today. Dull here and decidedly cool. Home gym for me today.
@Ziggy2017, hope your Nanny gets good care in hospital and picks up.
@ianpspurs, sounds like the perfect Sunday
@shelley262, pity holidays have to end.
Hope everyone else is well. Have a great day.
Yes fingers crossed she will get out in the next couple of days

Flora I know school runs are stressful...speed & punctuality are essential on a school morning...if you have breakfast on your return possibly your liver is throwing some glycogen into your system to get you ready for the school run...give you that extra spurt of energy needed.. if you had a small snack just before you left that may reduce your pre-breakfast number...worth a try?

Thank you so much. I hadn’t thought of that and I’ll give it a try. Will let you know how I get on. All new to me!
