Thank you, @jjraak ,

well, over on this side of the course, after a short but quiet 5-hour warm-up, our first contender has cantered into the arena and is now saluting the KittenCat at K. Oh, what a lovely finger-stick, right on the mark at X.

A nice 20-meter circle into the kitchen, and a good solid anti-clockwise stirring of the coffee at C, nice extension to take the fake creamer at F, and then more nicely rounded stirring.

So, track left at L into the living room, working trot sitting -- oops! a little anticipation there -- OK, that's better -- and another nice quiet halt at S. Salute the KittenCat. Leave the arena at a free interpretation of a loose translation.

Score moving on to the next phase, 5.9.

all very good @Saskia...but where is the slo-mo, so we can relive the salute to kittenkat..

;)

Liking the show, does take a certain mind set to 'get' it, (you know what i mean )
but once there, it's easy to envisage the entire performance, as you beautifully describe..:)

(imagination..ain't she a beautiful thing  )

My pals on this thread have kept me going today. I especially enjoyed @trick60 hot crust bun story, really made me smile. If it has to be done then it has to be done. We are mot slaves to anything all the time! Also @jjraak radio was funny as always and uplifting. I am deviating from the thread title, but thanks ALL.

And that's the beauty of the forum as a whole, but in particular for me, this thread
(sure there are others i am unaware of that are as good )

but what i see done well on here, is that degree of care and hugging sometimes needed.

And as you say just a different focus on the day can relieve some of the stress for any one of us.

So pleased you enjoyed my post, thank you for the positive feedback.

and i can only say you and others set the bar, in caring about those on here having a bad day or two.,
i just try to follow your lead..the rest is easy..

But the voices Do help, if i'm honest...:)

Have just heard the cardiologist wants to do more tests tomorrow so he is staying in hospital again tonight. Its rotten for him on his birthday but his Dad and I are impressed that they are being so thorough. He was born with a heart murmur which they told us he would grow out of. His Dad has A Fib and his late mother (sons grandmother) had aortic stenosis though she lived to 89. Heart problems do often run in families. Keeping everything crossed. Thanks for asking everyone. Theres nothing worse than something wrong with your child, whatever age!

Hi @PenguinMum,

Glad that the results of initial check up at the hospital were good. Hope news tomorrow will also be good. Thinking of you and your family.

Hello all.

Very late posting tonight. Blood sugars this morning were 4.9.

@DJC3 -- Thanks for your kind wishes. Antwerp was fun, we saw lots of wonderful and interesting things at the antique stores, but didn't end up buying anything. Really enjoyed the day.

@Chronicle_Cat -- Congrats on the additional weight loss. It's incredible how well you have done.

Morning All. 5.5 this morning. Got a very big shock yesterday. No 1 son was travelling down to celebrate his birthday with us today and had a “cardiac event”. Luckily he was able to pull into a garage and another motorist called an ambulance. They have kept him in for monitoring and he sees a cardiologist today. Not the best way to spend your 28th birthday.
Best wishes to you all. Stay well, stay safe!

Oh how scaring hope your son is safe now

aghh.NOT a natural MORNING :woot:..person

yet i'm up far too early...SO WHY do i feel like the first one up on resurrection day...

and yet others are here before me...:***:

(muses quietly.."Is the forum full of intergalactic time travellers..
slipping easily through the dimensions and portals of times..? ")

anyway..a BEAUTIFUL day yesterday spent with my better half.
nothing too fancy about the day, just spent it with the one i love most, and enjoyed what i believe
they call 'Comfortable silences' at some points of the day.

Not bad going for a close on 40 years together.

Not sure why, eaten sensibly but been more hungry last day or so.
trying to skip the hunger last night had late night 'snack' of double cream and a square of dark chocolate.
very nice....but punished today by a "" inducing 6.2....

must try harder if the 5's are going to feel loved again.

Have a good day all.
From a cold, damp, but so far less windy london.

5.4 for me its my last day in my job today before it closes down feeling a little sad have a good day everyone
Sorry your job is ending. I've had a few of those "last day" episodes, one when we closed the factory. I had great days further into the future, with new friends and experiences. So try not to feel too down.
