What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@Traceymac23 fingers crossed for you today - hope you’ll be going home later. Getting through sepsis is a major achievement, and definitely worth celebrating.
@Tru Blue there does seem to be a lot of that flu-ey type lurgy around at the moment. Hope you get better soon. Have you got to work today?
@gennepher well done on helping your 90yo friend with his techy problems. My dad ( sadly no longer with us) was desperate to get on line and surf the net. He was a very clever man - had been an engineer in his working life, but I think it was just too different to the world he understood and we would all get frustrated trying to talk him through it yet again. We wrote crib sheets out for him, but he would be confused by the next time he tried. We certainly all needed a treat afterwards, it was so stressful - usually a couple of glasses of wine.

5.3 this morning - so sadly back into the 5s. Very interesting that it was a very hectic day yesterday and I didn't relax at all. Also couldn't sleep because things kept going round in my head. So stress definitely has an impact on FBS.

Have just re-read my post and realised what a ridiculous post it is. Perhaps what I should have written was "5.3 - a really brilliant reading".

Just shows how well you’re doing generally. You’re right though - its very easy to get fixated on ever lower numbers, and that’s not always helpful.
Hope there is less stress in your life today.

Agree.

Take that back to the VCR days...aagghh.

Loved em, but "fix this"..meant a trip over and moments after trying it was "don't bother"..go home and do what you were doing. Don't bother...ahhhhh.:wideyed::woot:

Cue me desperate to sort as VCR AND TV now NOT tuned in..Dad getting antsy, while I ignore his pleas and fix ..then Full on gratitude for fixing....only to be called back at silly o'clock another day.....bless.

Wish I had been a lot more chilled now, but those drinks once home WERE we deserved..:D

Morning All. 5.8 at 0800. This 16:8 eating plan is not working out great this week because of comical unexpected trips by visitors and friends. However today and tomo are free to have a go ATM.
@True Blue get better soon, horrible lurgy, drink lots of fluids and be gentle with yourself.
@Traceymac23 thats good news, well done you staying cheerful through a scary time.
@SaskiaKC until I separated the kitten from the bag I was rather scared.
@gennepher welcome to the friendliest thread, love your avator and name.
Anyone else sad or unwell sending hugs. Have a good Wednesday. Stay well, stay safe.

13.3 this morning. Hba1c on the 25th but I’m worried with these readings it’s going to be up from the 7.4 in December

@philchap1 @P1ckle I really do hope that you both get well soon!
@Bubbsie Oh I hear that! Suddenly getting to be more of a coffee addict than I was pre-diagnosis.
@Traceymac23 Fingers crossed you can finally get yourself home!

Woke up to a 4.8 this morning, woke up just five seconds before my alarm so either my body anticipated it or that was the minimum sleep it wanted. Got to say though, why has Winter come back again? Chilly here by the Humber to the point where even I wanted to buy some gloves!

Wishing you all a fantastic day though!

Good morning. Missed posting yesterday. Fasting blood sugars yesterday were 5.1 and today 4.6.

@SaskiaKC -- So happy you decided to stay. The thread would have been a much lonelier place without you. Love your caring and positive attitude, and of course your humorous comments.
@jjraak -- So sorry to have missed your birthday -- glad you had a great time though ... and happy belated birthday.
@Patrick66 -- Glad that your wound has stopped ouzing -- hope it heals soon.
@Alf-Josiah -- Hope all goes well with your procedure today.
@gennepher -- Welcome to the forum. So happy you decided to join.
@DJC3 -- Great run of fasting blood sugars lately. Brilliant achievement.
Seems quite a lot suffering from various ailments lately, my hugs go out to all of you -- @True Blue, @geefull, @P1ckle, @philchap1. Hope y'all feel better soon.

Have a great day, everyone.
