What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. Bedtime 6.3. This morning 6.7. I'm a bit gobsmacked tbh. I went to the funeral of a friend and after to the wake. There was absolutely nothing but carbs..... sandwiches, sausage rolls and cakes. The only salad was very thinly sliced soggy tomato and limp lettuce. As it was teatime and I was hungry, I ate what was there. I fully expected high readings so now I'm waiting for the axe to fall! Have a great weekend folks. :joyful:

FBG 6.8 on finger prick, 6.6 on Libre.

Not sure what to do to get a FBG under 6. Yesterday was a perfect day on paper, all within range: 30 mins swim early doors, fasting until lunchtime, lunch modest prawn salad and a chop with veg for dinner. Max carbs 83g overall, including snacks/drinks. No nasty spikes on the Libre, save for the exercise one. Running out of ideas.

7.5 this morning. Had to down tools yesterday as the dreaded swirling lights of a migraine took full force. Can only take paracetamol so took 45 minutes for the light show to end and during that I had a panic attack to boot. Always scares me a migraine. Today just taking it easy, doing my ironing whilst watching Netflix. Still fuzzy head but hopefully the worse is over with. Been bubbling for a few weeks before it finally took hold

10.7 first thing this morning then I went to the gym for leg day, smashed a record! Came home and tested again before breakfast 11.2 which I expected as I was still redder than a tomato! After breakfast it was 16.4 still waiting HbA1c results to confirm I am diabetic.

13.6 this morning... But it was my birthday yesterday so I went to an all you can eat Chinese, I managed to get my bloods to 8.2 (my lowest ever) before the meal but they bounced to 18.8 after. I was sensible, avoided the rice had a small portion of noodles lots of crispy duck pancakes with no sauce and a tiny slice of cake, I'm still yet to be diagnosed so figured I would make the most of it without being a spoon.
