What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Late today as well, FBG 6.0 on the nose this morning.

Had my bloods taken yesterday, so thinking that in the normal course of events I won't have any more tests for another 6 months, and that the A1c only goes back for 3 months, went around looking for some naughty stuff to eat. Cheating myself, I know. However, I'd obviously been so thorough in my eradication of naughty things from my cupboards I couldn't find anything worthwhile, so settled for some dark 90% chocolate instead. And the full on breakfast cereal I had this morning somehow had lost its allure, I discovered I didn't really like it anymore. Things are not going to be the same ever again are they?

5.4 - Didn’t have much of an appetite yesterday. As my recovery continues I’m feeling fine, as long as I keep taking the pain killers. I tried easing off three days ago - ouch! So, let’s hear it for Tramadol! Yay! :D
Gave you a winner for your blood results as well as for the positive attitude. Its still early days and you are doing great. :)

6.1 fbg this morning, which is a victory for me. I had a wake-up call in May, when I woke up in the middle of the night feeling awful, and measured my bgl to 24! I started making changes, got a new meter in early June as my previous one was running out of batteries, and got another Contour Next, but this one with bluetooth and an app. It's been a life-saver, as I use the test reminder patterns to keep me accountable. I've gone from fbg of 12-13, to now 7s and this 6.1 in the last five weeks. Goal is to get fbg in the 5s and all measurements under 8.5.
