What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All so up to 7.4 but will try to get back in the stickies asap. Agree with @ChrisT2 tried spaghetti alternatives and really yuk esp courgetti! I occasionally allow myself 2oz spaghetti with Bolognese and it isn’t too much to worry about. Happy weekend everyone.
How I wish I could get away with an occasional modest helping of traditional spaghetti. Alas, some of us can't. If you can @PenguinMum, and a small portion every once in a while works for you, then that's great.

I'm not a fan of Konjac, but spiralised courgettes have enabled us to continue enjoying all our favourite Italian pasta dishes; the recipes I turn to time and again especially when in a hurry.

If I go hell for leather with cardio, my bg levels increase more however today I tested after a 40 minute not to intense spin session with weights and my level was 5.3. I have decided to take it easy for a bit whilst working out as I like the 5s and 4s ;)
It's a case of finding what works for you and as we know none of us react exactly the same way to either food or exercise .

8.4 this morning, a bit on the high side but never tested until 9am as had a decent lie in. Unfortunately my morning readings go from a reasonable 6 mmol up to around 11 mmol at 1 PM irrespective of what I eat or do re. exercise so just caught the rise on the curve.

Having my Covid and Flu jabs later today so not looking forward to that but interested in an "anoraky" sort of way to see if they affect my readings.
Enjoy the weekend wherever you are.:)

Berries were frozen Summer Berries from supermarket. As for spag bol it was venison meatballs with onions and tomato puree, reckon it is the spaghetti that does the damage. Shame really as I don't like pasta much anyway but spaghetti is OK once in a while but maybe not so much now. Did try soy bean spaghetti a few weeks back but taste and texture not good (like eating shredded dish cloth) so spaghetti firmly on the bad list.:arghh:
I tried those konjac ( think that's right ) noodles and they too were awful ....like chewing elastic bands
