What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.2 this morning .

I’ve been strictly ketovorre for more than 2 months. Keto and low carb for about nine years.

No cheating except for the occasional glass of whisky

I now view vegetables as something for occasional flavoring of meat.

Fruit , even berries just isn’t on my menu

We're obviously using different units of measurement in different parts of the diabetic world b/c these HbA1c figures make no sense to me at all. Here in Japan and the USA I think, we use the NGSP scale for HbA1c where the normal non-diabetic range is 4.9% to 6% and the maximum is about 13%. At 110 or even 24, you'd be marron glacé! What scale are you using? Instantaneous glucose is measured here as mg/dl (deciliter) with a normal range of 70 to 110, so I am confused by your readings. Can you clarify?

5.8 this morning although up and about earlier today. Took a quick peek just now 0840 and on the steady upward rise at 7.2 without any breakfast, just a black coffee at work. Sadly won't be able to influence or halt the rise until it peaks and drops back slowly on its own at about midday. Walking, running, pills, diet etc do nothing to influence this and I really hate this disease with a passion.

Keto for nine years...really impressive!

Well sounds a lot but gradually developed from low carb to keto as my hba1c increased each year for reasons which aren’t that clear. My diet now is ketovore

I took a c-peptide private test 6 or 7 years ago which was on the low side of normal - my bmi is around 19 so I don’t present as typical type 2.

I’ve tried Berberine and metformin, albeit low dose but they have no noticeable benificial effect. I currently take no medication nor supplements but have an open mind for future scenarios

Sadly I’ve never met a medical professional I can have an open and honest conversation with but I do read everything I can, medical papers, books, etc. and a couple of online courses

I’m just trying to be as self empowered as I can … 6.1 reading on contour next this morning
