What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Ok, this morning was 6.2. That’s fairly normal for me. Got my A1C results…..to be honest I was anticipating a higher number and am therefore pleasantly surprised with a 6.2 (44), down from 6.5 (48) three months ago.
i am delighted!
AND.….I was ”carded” today (asked for ID when shopping a seniors 65+ discount)…..the very gracious lady said I looked 50…..and I’ll be 68 next week. She’s my new bestie…..lol

Morning All so put on a Libre yesterday. Stayed high all morning walked around drank peppermint tea. Small prawn cocktail h/m at 2pm came down to 5 by 5pm then chicken and cauli cheese art 6.30pm. Stayed around 7 then started to spike from midnight, was 8 on Libre at 3am which is when DP kicked in but I wasn’t getting up yet! At 8am when I got up it was 7.8 on meter and 7.1 on Libre.
Its a complete puzzle! But small rewards, todays FBG is better.

Morning All. I am really scared. Yesterday was 9.8 today is 9.2. I was really restrained both days with seafood & salad lunch on Mothers Day and mixed salad yesterday though did have small amount of spaghetti with chilli meatballs last evening but done that before and got 7s. I am wondering if my incomplete pancreas has finally given up. Really scared, wish I could fast but will think about a restricted regime. Any suggestions welcome.[/

Personally I find fasting really powerful. I get a bit apprehensive because I’m tall and skinny and so much is said about “ not overdoing it” and the like. People worry and arnt shy about telling you

However 24 hours is no big deal without food.

Keep busy and time goes. Distract yourself if necessary. You may surprise yourself. Let us know how it goes

I did try metformin but for me diet and fasting are more effective.
