Morning All 8.6 and oh the shame and disappointment of it. Shame because it was bread again, not one but two brioche buns to encase my two bbq burgers which did have other good stuff in them. Its only the really good bread that I struggle to resist but I have to find a way. Next time will try one brioche bun open with a burger & salad each side. @grantg I don’t think DNs know the answer to much and I wonder if you should try and get in front of an endo. Glad you got some sheltered sailing in.
I am the same with bread ...I love it ...would rather have "good " bread than a steak .

Morning all 4.77 mmol/L around 5 am. Happy Humpday. I have been finger pricking for too long that before testing, I think the test results numbers and a lot of the time I am on the money. Because of the same routine and just about the same food. Have a nice day everyone.

6.0 a little later than usual today. Libre arriving later this morning and will fit at the weekend but continue posting morning finger pricks for continuity. One thing I have noticed over last couple of weeks is that my phone battery lasts so much longer than when it is constantly monitoring the Libre readings but minor downside compared to the advantages of using a CGM.

over selling.... oh so many things are enthusiastically oversold
I have to confess I miss the ease and motivation of using a Cgm . However here I am with the slightly barbaric finger stabbing contour next which of course costs less in terms of cash

This morning I have a 9:30 appointment in London . In the flurry of being somewhere different I missed out on a fasting level but after coffee and scrambled eggs it reads six point two

Back from our first camping adventure in our van, what fun. It got hot yesterday but at the lake it was a good ten degrees cooler than at home. Nights are very cool so sleeping is perfect.
didn't test while away but I was good. Just tested before lunch here and I’m at 5.9
heading to Vancouver island next week to see our son And his new home ! Hate the drive (read ferry) but it must be done. A good eight hours of travel each way…blah
the weeds in my yard had a party while I was away….what the heck! There goes my afternoon….

needles, bloods sampling, infact most medical stuff which usually result in panic/anxienty attacks :(
Opinions please.I have been drinking co op lemon and lime still water.no added sugar.Could this be why my numbers are up and my stomach is agony?
Haven't had issue with macB lemon and lime still although I drink in relatively small quantities Not spotted or tried co-op variant.

Upset tummy can cause change in blood glucose. Got to be careful with some 'sugar free' some use sweeteners which can have laxative effect some sweeteners can cause gastro issues such as bloating gas diarrhea depending on quantity. Know this from wethers originals sugar free....

Acesulfame/sucralose alongside a few more sweeteners isomalt is what can give me issues on a side note some sugar free products contain a warning in small print to that effect such as wethers originals. Hope you feel better soon

Thankyou for your reply. The sweeteners that you mention that affect you are the ones in the co-op water! I will have to stick to water from now on.Once again, thankyou.(acesulfame f and Aspartame) edited to change ingredient.

Might just be quantity. If you feel something may have negative impact.. best avoid til better then try smaller quantity if really can't do without to see if repeat action is indeed cause. Try rule out by process of elimination ☺️
