7.4 last two mornings …. Trying to avoid carbs as much as possible so hopefully see a reduction over next while
At diagnosis they were still using the advice from diabetes. Org who are still suggesting cereals and porridge for breakfast..Porridge does the same thing to me although i've not measured as high as 11.5 but certainly rise to around 9.5 an hour after eating. I was told to eat porridge when i was pre-diabetic as it was good for me so I was eating the darn stuff nearly every day. I used to love porridge - no sugar and just a bit of salt. Certainly didn't help to keep me in the pre-diabetic space.
I had to stop metformin very early on because of "side effects "......12.6
stopped taking metformin for a bit (side effects)
Do take the meds with food or just after ?12.6

I think it is the heat. I have been in the later 7s to 8s in the mornings since the heat wave. But during the day I am in the 6s. Stuck in front of a hairdryer is the worse, at times I have wanted to join the client and to dunk my head under the basin whilst shampooing hair! The jealousy is real guys lolMorning All 8.1 today which seems my norm these days. I want 6s but can’t seem to get them. Maybe the heat is a factor though it does mean that I am drinking more water and peppermint tea. Take care everyone in this weather, I tend to do stuff in the morning and hide indoors in the afternoon.
Shocking isn't it and they wonder why diabetes is on the riseAt diagnosis they were still using the advice from diabetes. Org who are still suggesting cereals and porridge for breakfast..
