What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.9 this morning, Dexcom. The hospital called this morning and told me I could go in any time for my mammogram, which was scheduled for later this afternoon. Quickly finished my workout and headed there. They ended up having to double check one spot and then I had to go for an ultrasound. I’m super nervous. I had a low grade breast cancer about five years ago (hmm, or was it four years…). Dang. Hope it’s just scar tissue that they saw….don't know how long it will take for me to see the results. I will see my cancer doctor in a few weeks so it’s not really a long wait but I should hear before then.

5.0 on the nose fingerprick today was the same :) usually cgm for me reads lower currently on libres final hours.

managed swim yesterday :) wasnt too busy for around 45 minutes before suddenly felt like being in a can of sardines.

not too sure what to do with libre today when runs out... have mri scan on wednesday hospital after they made the appt at lunchtime said they'd of called back later in the afternoon and haven't.

Don’t know about Mir scans but I’ve had chest & abdomen ct scans & told to leave the libre in

Fingers crossed that it is scar tissue xx Good luck

Stress does make a difference….a whopping 6.8 today, a shock for sure. So off to the gym I went and decided to do a bike ride today,I’m enjoying it more than I thought I would. Picketed a idilic rice through the south of France and after almost eight miles I had my blood sugar down to 4.9! That made me very happy. Ended my workout with some legs and then home for lunch in a much better mood than this morning….
Is windy but the sun is shining, perfect weather today with a high of just 25….my kind of summer.

When I first read that I thought you were pricking your nose for the test! I wonder if it would work, ears are supposed to bleed copiously...

9.5 today. Tried not eating after 9pm. It was horrid (I usually need a bedtime snack in order to sleep) but if it consistently brings my FBG down to single figures I'll tough it out.

I'll give a little useless info. Capillary blood regardless where it comes from is still blood. In hospital ... I'm bad with fingerpricks even still 8 months on some of blood glucose came from cutting self.. some from scratching off skin tags squeezing Til bled Gouging out little bit of skin in legs etc were all used to test levels. Even recently picking off spot squeezing have used as well as long as enough blood it's good and not on area that's contaminated with liquid/mucous. If nose bloodbleed.. id probably test blood from that unless had a cold.. new sensor inserted earlier on isn't appearing to work. I wouldn't test at all tbh if didn't feel like little choice without encouragement from cgm or wanting a little reassurance it's 'reasonably accurate'' it isn't blood with irrational fear that causes the issue. Needles especially if going in and out veins.. makes treating difficult at times hopefully will be able to overcome at some point in the future..

Good luck with preservation and fingers crossed you manage single digits more often
