What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All yesterday 8.3 today 7.7 so slightly better. @SJ1812 I worry about those sort of mistakes at the pharmacy and in NHS generally. We double check everything and pull them up like you did but what about someone infirm and not able to. Scary.
Cold last night so glad new duvet arriving today. Take care all.

Happy to report the 24 hour fast was successful. Before supper last night, 4.7, before bed, 5.3 and this morning a rare 5.2
Of course I’m back to normal now. Will do more fasts….just to play with my finicky pancreas.
Another spectacular late summer day, just back from a nice walk at the lake…I’m just a few steps short of 10,000. I did a six plus mile bike ride at the gym…with increased resistance that really made me work! I then did legs…I’m a tired puppy right now.
Had a few carbs at lunch, two spoonfuls of yogurt and six blueberries to mix with my creatine, a new supplement for me. There will be no carbs at dinner.

5.2 just waiting on the pool to open :) off for swim, heating at the pool appears to be functioning again was pretty cold for a few days. still can't understand why they ran out of kerosene (fuel they use for heating). Living fairly remotely has some advantages however for the likes of heating and cooking mains gas would be awesome (and a lot less expensive). other downside is when powercuts ... usually one of the last places to get fixed after storms due to the lower populations. full fibre ... wonder how long it will take to get that here adsl took around 5-6 years after most other places got it and fibre to the cabinet is till being done slowly on some roads. there is build plans for full fibre no dates listed

Managing to get a few finger prick tests in now and again but results always disappointing although expected. Low carb options few and far between except at breakfast. Yesterday went for an 11 mile walk around resort with a sea swim in between, nothing to eat except a warm litre bottle of water sips every now and again. Got back and nearly fainted at my 10.4 finger prick, retested same result. This sea air must be carb loaded as fitbit said 22k steps, if I had been slobbing about at home reading would have been in the 5's. I have no wish to give up the walking/exercise as it is good for my health and wellbeing in general but as for BS management extra exercise not the way to go for me although I do feel compelled to carry on walking and exploring.
Despite all of my moans and groans having a great time but looking forward to getting back on track in a week or so. Enjoy all whatever you are up to.

5.7 today. Still warm weather and some sunshine but right now the winds have picked up….think there’s supposed to be some rain tomorrow, fingers crossed.
Upped my weights for my upper body workout today and then did a 45 min bike ride. I’m pooped. Thank goodness the dog walk will be easy and slow.
Still waiting on biopsy results….makes me hate the weekend
