What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Maybe my experiment is working ...... I've contacted the D B lead re e periment. Awaiting a response
The diabetes lead is taking my request seriously . He wants a weeks readings . I have weeks readings of taking metformin and insulin. Levemir , at times at last Abh1c when taking levemir 6.45a.m. And readings from this week ( and beyond ) but taking at 3.30 am. Guess which are the lowest .?

fasting BG do you mean? fingerprick / cgm (lagged interestrial fluid) is simply glucose level at the time.
hba1c is average glycated hemoglobin levels cell life (approx 90 days).

i'd guess 3.30am results are lower perhaps dawn phenomenon?

are you taking preprandial(before meal) alongside postprandial (~2 hours after meals) for them look at? i recall you saying looking into changing levemir (as being discontinued) hopefully readings help to find replacement suitable to your needs good luck :)

6.2 today. Minus 4 this morning…snow Monday (I truly hope not)
Gym today was heavy leg weights and a 3 mile bike ride afterwards….my legs were pooped. Grocery stock up ….so very busy. Going to do some baking for hubby this afternoon, the man loves his cookies.

@grantg Sorry my post didnt read well.
The doc wants the a.m and bed readings. plus pre and post meal readings. I do these everyday anyway as insulin can produce lows , so I tend to do the frequent readings.

To be clear. Levemir at 6.45 doesnt seem to kick in soon enough ,the reading starts high post breakfast, and go up and down through the day. Generally 6-9 or 10-15 . My doc thought that ok for other reasons
As i wake at night, I trialled taking Levemir - insulin- at 4a.m . This produced much lower readings. 4.1 - 8.5 tho occasionally up to 12.5, And also a low 3.8.
This was explained to the lead doc via the internet. As levemir will end in 2026 sometime it seemed like a good time to risk a plea to the Diabetes lead. Hes taking it seriously and would like my readings. I understand he is diabetic himself which could evoke a good response. This is a bit complex for this post area so most readers might wish to ignore this

Fingerprick 5.1 libre 4.4

Brrrrr it's cold today -2 celcius. Breakfast. Salting carpark instead of walk then defrosting car then deciding if going mainland or not. Been several crashes black ice posted on FB. Still need to go ferry regardless drop someone off really dislike driving in icy conditions bright side no snow. Lovely clear skies loads of stars

6.5 this, quite surprising as up several times overnight and slept lightly with open ears on baby monitor. If having grandkids over is a cure for diabetes I am going back to pies and pasties for a quieter life. Thankfully returning them to their rightful owners later today so looking forward to a gin induced sleep. :D
