Hi

Just wondering what really is best to drink?
Do drink a lot of water but sometimes do enjoy a coffee or tea? Which is better or just stick to water?

Both will hydrate you, a balance between the two is what I do.

i drink water or green tea, unless im in someones house who is posh, then i have a coffee because posh people always make nice coffee

I gave up my coffee habit (posh or other) a long time ago, it made me sort of drunk! Now I drink tea made in a teapot, because I'm fussy lol, or iced water. I did read somewhere that coffee can cause a BG spike...... o_O

Joking aside real coffee made from grounds is fine, provided you are not already dehydrated, so is tea, but the milk can be a problem. Some instant coffees have carbs (never touch instant myself).

i drink about the equivalent of 2 double esspressos every day, annointed with a whiff of skimmed milk vapour, but never after midday. Afternoon and evenings its water. Doesn't affect my BG's at all.

From a diabetes perspective water, tea & coffee are all the same and OK; just don't add sugar. Basically any drink is OK without added sugar, but avoid smoothies or fruit juice due to the high fructose content

I drink tea all day, lattes when I'm out, normal coffee if I'm at someones house and an occasional Pepsi max. I don't hardly drink water.

I drink water and sparkling water if I'm feeling decadent lol.
I do have one cup of coffee a day - always ground and never instant. I used to love a Latte from the local petrol station, but found out that a cappuccino had less of an effect on my reading, so I've swapped to that.
