Which online service to use

Our surgery uses Patient Access but we don’t have anywhere near the options other members have, no test results or history is available so obviously depends on the practice what information they decide to make available
I initially didn’t have test results, just appts, allergies, vaccinations and repeat prescriptions, I had to request for results and investigations to be added.

Have you registered for test results and medical records? You don't get to see these automatically. You have to register at your surgery and complete a consent form, providing some ID at the same time. I had to provide photographic ID. The GP then agrees, and you are given a code which you can enter and hey presto! Your medical records are on-line.

I have an annual review tomorrow, I will ask my DN if she knows about a central database.
The software that our practice uses is called EMIS and that is what the doctors see when they bring up your records on screen. Evergreen Life, when permission is granted, can access a subset of the EMIS data for patients to see at home. It is also possible to grant access to other doctors or hospitals in the same CCG but that is also not the full data. "More comprehensive sharing has been restricted due to privacy concerns and so we still have paper files having to be transported round the country" (her words).

Patient Access is also part of EMIS.
