There is a cheese shop in Liverpool Street (inside the station) that makes amazing cheeses, anyone knows if they ship?

You could always call them, or email if you have an address.

A quick Google search for "cheese shops liverpool street station" will bring this to your attention.

It states free postage / freight with orders over £50.00 on the website.

wow their cheese boxes. Yumm. A lovely selection of cheese cakes too.

I wonder if the Sainsbury's London warehouse was the cellar supporting activities at their head office or if they had a specialised deli for the London market. There are(were?) some marvellous food stores in London.

Grumpy bosses!
Certain medications can alter the taste buds. Metformin in particular is reknowned for imparting a metallic taste, and of blunting the appetite.
It was originally developed as a diet drug because of the ability to suppress the appetite before its ability to help regulate sugar levels was discovered.

I supplied the name and address for @carbolysis, it also included on the website the cost of postage at this link.

I cannot remember what they said now where it was to be distributed.

I know it was not in a cellar but on the ground floor.

I have not had any metallic tastes or real blunting of my appetite since being on Metformin twice a day.

If @carbolysis is a cigarette smoker that habit can make food tasteless, so that makes you want to put plenty of salt on food.

Edited: Typo.

A whole country learnt to fear salt and everything is tasteless. There is no way to find salty cheese here :(

What cheese are you looking for?

There are loads of salty cheeses available in the UK, both local and international.

Are you sure? Why when I ask at tesco's cheese counter they look each other as if I asked them for a rocket?

counter staff may not have had the opportunity to taste the various cheeses. You need to look for the name of the cheese you want to try and specifically ask for it. Look at tescos online shop and see what sort of cheese is available. Not all the shops stock all the cheese available at Tesco online, but they will stock some of them. And people have different taste buds so what you taste may not be what they taste. So you have to try out the cheeses. Most counter staff can cut you a tiny bit of a cheese to try.

People who think they know everything.
Me and Mr Chook love smelly / strong cheeses - favourites at the moment are gorgonzola and stinking bishop. If we want to try something new we go to our local market or farmers market and get tasters but we also but lots of small amounts of all different kinds of cheese so we can test for how they melt or blend with other ingredients.

I am looking for a salty fatty cheese (apart from feta), isn't this apparent yet?
You seem to have gone from a general complaint about the taste of British food to a search for the perfect cheese. If you don't like Roquefort which is strong tasting, salty and has a high fat content then I give up.

Yes, I'm sure. Tesco has salty cheeses and delis and farm shops have more of the rarer ones.

You can't be looking very hard - or, as has been suggested before, the problem is with your taste buds.

If you can't taste the salt of Roquefort or a good Stilton, then you should get your nose and mouth checked out for issues.

As clearly mention in this serious link: https://www.fromages.com/en/fromage/36-roquefort Roquefort is SLIGHTLY salty.

Definitely roquefort is far from salty cheese. It gives me the impression that some people here haven't tasted anything apart from the tasteless stuff supermarkets have. Has anyone tried genuine halloumi? It is extremely salty and it has nothing to do with the Tesco halloumi, which I bought recently.

And it's really ridiculous to keep up with the taste buds being wrong etc.
