Hi all the Xmas season is upon us and I'm just wondering how you all go about having a drink and getting merry! Do you bolus for beer? Or let it get high and sort it out he next day? I've had a read on the net on other forums but there is so much conflicting information!

Hi Stu (sorry to keep answering your posts!),
I'll allow myself a shesh on the ale. I wont bolus as I'd like to get slightly smashed and will probably find it difficult to recognise a hypo. I personally think I deserve a treat and a night off the diabetes as I've worked so hard with it this year! I normally have wine or rum and diet coke as they wont raise my BGs. Can't remember the last time I had a beer, used to be a regular occurrence!

A medium dry white wine plus lots of soda water in a large tumbler glass for me!
Keeps my BG levels steady too

Cheers - merry christmas all
