Type 2 Life

I am finally off to bed now having done an extra 3 hours work this evening.

Tomorrow morning I have an appointment with the Diabetes Nurse - I need to do something about my binging - and my feet - and my emotional roller-coaster. Fingers crossed she is sympathetic and doesn't blow me off
Good luck, @paula.nolan42! As a newbie, I am wondering if you can share what the problem is with your feet? And is the emotional rollercoaster another symptom of T2, or a response to the challenges you're facing?
I have my first appointment with the DN on Friday - no idea what to expect!

So, this may be a bit random, but I'm wondering whether I had a bad day food-wise yesterday because of the weather!
There really didn't seem to be any reason why I was craving something without knowing what it was, yet today - with the sun shining - I feel completely different. No cravings, no aches and pains, no depression, and I'm full of enthusiasm, energy and motivation.
The sunshine has certainly boosted my mood, because the last couple of days have been grey and miserable and I've always loved the sun. But I've never before been aware of the lack of it significantly depressing me.
Eating low carb DOES make me feel a lot more in touch with what's going on in my body, so perhaps that was what was causing my 'off' day. If that's true, then I'm going to be taking a lot more notice of the weather forecast, so that I can plan ahead!

Thank You All Kind Friends:) Forgot to have my Insulin this morning, but took other diabetic tablets with a Banana at 7.30am - my fasting of 7.2 was so rubbish at 7.15am:(. (before bed was 8.0 at 1pm) - No Tramadol and did not sleep good, bones & bed don't mix!! Just took Insulin and having a quick coffee and half an hour to make sure no adverse effects (injections). Going out for lunch at 1pm with "Girl-Friend" No 2* - Cheeseburger & Chips (with mayo) for me = Yippee:D (@13lizanne - is No 1*):)

HI @debrasue - I've always had what I consider 'cold' feet - not cold to the touch but cold on the inside - I have been wearing socks in bed for years - in the last few years I have had lots of tingly sensation in my feet and now-a-days its like someone is pricking my feet like a voodoo doll :banghead: its very annoying - the sensation can be painful more more than that its just very annoying and interrupts my sleep

Hello everyone. Hope you got on ok today @liam1955
I had an HBA1C test last week and go to the practice nurse after work today for the results. I was 97 at diagnosis 3 months ago so am hoping there has been a significant improvement. If there isn't, despite my best efforts, then I guess I'll probably be heading down the medication route. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Yes, that does sound distressing! Sending big hugs, and I hope the podiatrist can sort it out for you. x

I'm confident it will be lower @TooManyCrisps but I'll still keep my fingers crossed for you. :)

Hello everybody. I'm just back from swimming. I swam the full hour and did 40 lengths! Lunch now:)

Respect!!

Thank you to all those who crossed parts of their body for me. I was hoping for an HBA1C reading under 65 (it was 97 at diagnosis 3 months ago) as that would show I was heading in the right direction and that the LCHF diet was doing something.

In fact it was 49, which I am very pleased with. :):)

I'm now off to the gym for a celebratory aerobics class..... i know how to live!
