Type 2 Life

Thanks @13lizanne @Alzebra @mo53 @paula.nolan42 @liam1955 @Hiitsme @Diamum5972 @catinahat

Had a wonderful dinner and desert prepared by she who must be obeyed and with my two sons. Also scored a night in Sydney this weekend to watch my footy side the Sydney Swans (Australian Rules) play at the Sydney Cricket Ground followed by a catch up with my brother and sister for dinner. This is probably going to cost quite a few extra 30 minute walks.
Thanks Again

Hi Guys

Birthday today so having a day off diet wise and testing wise. Had a piece of strawberry cheesecake this afternoon at the office my first sweet for over three months and it was very good. Roast Lamb tonight with a couple of roast potatoes and dessert of Apple-crumble and custard
BFG Tomorrow could be interesting
Happy birthday. I think you're allowed a treat on your birthday, it's only once a year

Thanks yes already done that and it was fantastic. Hey love your handle as I am a Crisp man and before this year and getting control of my diet was known to scoff a whole large bag in a hit.

Hello everybody. I hope everyone is having a good day. I went swimming. I swam for 55 minutes and did 40 lengths. It was really quiet at first but suddenly the pool seemed full. I'd hoped to do 50 but not today. :) Lunch now.

Good day so far.....went to an excercise class labelled "Easy Does it" which was anything but! and I I realised that I simply do not have the co-ordination to be remotely graceful!

I then had a lovely 30 minute clear the mind swim and followed that up with a pot of mint tea and a my book for 20 minutes.

I was just about to get on with some work when one of my oldest friends turned up at the front door bearing gifts :-) She has bought me a lovely velvet bag about the size of a laptop sleve which holds all my testing kit, spare supplies, note book and pens etc. She has also bought me some guest towells in a lovely vibrant pink which also fit into this bag and some handcream for my pin pricked fingers. It is lovely and is making me smile this afternoon as I test.....which is a good thing.

She said that she can no longer buy me chocolate and I kill flowers:-)

My husband is away for the next two nights and as much as I love him I am really looking forward to snuggling down on the sofa with the dogs and some really appauling TV of the guilty secret variety for the next two evenings :-)

@mo53 - Maybe when the children go back to school, the pool maybe better for you to do 50 laps. Had my treat (cheeseburger/chips) yesterday, then went for afternoon tea at 3pm. I had a Latte and slice of Lemon Cheesescake on a biscuit base.:pGot home at 5.30pm and tested = 6.5, so had no dinner, but had 4 crackerwheats with Cheese at 10p.m., tested before bed at 1.30am = 11.5, had a lousy night and this morning's fasting was 6.9 = Must be the Biological injections???? Still, tomorrow is another day and can only be better?:)

@liam1955 you do enjoy those cheeseburgers:) I hope you are having painkillers tonight so you can have a good sleep. I have a theory that the morning after a swimming day my bs is lower. We will see in the morning if my theory is right.

@mo53 - Hmm that will be interesting? You never did say about the results from that bread you bought to try the other day?
Doctor says I have to eat more Iron enriched foods! I eat spinach, dark lleafy cabbage, broccoli, lentils, pulses, meat lasagne, eggs etc. Yes and cheeseburgers too, so thinking if? We go shopping tomorrow might buy the Angus Burgers to cook on my George Formby and make cheeseburgers for tea tomorrow. Yeah, going to take a Tramadol 1 tonight just before bed - GP does not want me becoming addicted to them = again!! (Not taking them EVERY night):)

@liam1955 ooh the homemade cheeseburgers sound good. I'm not sure about the bread. It tastes good even though wheat and gluten free. But 10 g of carb in each slice. It didn't spike my bs . I would like to try the livlife bread but I will have to order it from Amazon. I wish I could get to Lidl more often. The trouble with swimming it makes me sleepy. :)

Good luck Barbara. Though I'm sure that you won't need luck x
Woo hoo! I lost another pound :) I'm popping over to my brothers in a minute and I've got my knitting group tonight so I won't be back online tonight. Bye all xx

10g for just 1 slice of bread! - Oh, I just would not bother Mo. The Lidl rolls seem very popular with everybody on this forum. Do you drive at all? I didn't take to driving lessons, Richard drives - he is my Chauffeur!!!

The Lidls rolls are approx 11g carbs each and 1 slice of ordinary wholemeal/brown/white bread is anything from 17-24g carbs that's per slice so @mo53 s bread is very low carb
