What does the UK leaving the EU mean for us?

I would give Corbyn an A+ for charisma compared to the one put up to unseat him. Bring back David Milliband!:)

After listening to Kinnock on sunday I really despair for the labour party. Clearly only the Parliamentary Labour group mean anything to him and offering a bunch of no ones to the wider party for "selection" is going to get them no where.. worryingly he fell back onto the "Rule book" to rule Corbyn out of the running..... nothing like an good argument supported with some well crafted ideas to sway the undecided...
Just hoping Corbyn is hanging on to get Tony B a good kicking from inside the chamber...
It's not going well, which ever way you look at it....

David Miliband....now he genuinely would have been a worrying prospect for the Conservative party. A very good brain and a compelling orator:)

Nah, one I would like to see put themselves forward would be Chuka Umunna, but the Labour Party are a laughing stock at the moment with Corbyn at the helm.

Chuka Umunna is a great idea!

Didn't he put his name forward last time but withdraw due to personal reasons?

I like his calm and well mannered approach to politics and debates, never really heard of this Angela Eagle who they are saying will be Corbyn's replacement:confused:

I can't remember, but that rings a bell.

Yes, I like him because he's intelligent and gives a really good impression of authority, but in a quiet, confident way, not a strident way.

Angela Eagle was on a Brexit debate. Here, second from your left looking at the picture:

She spoke well, as I remember.

Yup. His family, and mother in particular, faced some rather unpleasant abuse.

The quicker we get rid of the political jockeying the sooner we can get the mess sorted and stop moving towards unacceptable racist attitudes. Sadly, too late, we may realise how beneficial being in Europe has been for us.

FOR US that means that many products from Europe will become more expensive IF UK REALLY leaves the EU because now companies would have to pay more taxes and such to get products to the other side of the border. And UK still didn't leave, in fact the papers weren't even signed yet to START the procedure to leave the EU which will take up to 2 years.
And I heard insulin isn't produced in the UK so they will become 10-30% more expensive.

It looks like May is going to walk it, another Margaret Thatcher on the way.

you never know what the membership will come up with when given the choice of two.......

Quite. After this there's still 150,000 to vote. Who knows how many of those are rampant leavers or rampant remainers? I suspect that's what will drive the voting. You really want to be looking at who's going to come second. That will really drive what happens next.

I don't care who leads the Tory party as long as they lead them over a cliff unlike the present incumbent who stopped short at the edge.

Well, the £ is now below $1.31 which means the cost of anything measured in dollars has gone up around 10%.

In addition, versus the € a similar thing has happened. This is, of course, far more of an issue, because we import rather a lot of food from the EU.
