I'm up due to suspected bronchitis.
Any other night owls?

I've started this thread for anyone, anywhere who are struggling at night for company til they nod off again.
I've taken more painkiller for a suspected bronchitis case as I have other ailments as well, currently.
Some people, like me, don't normally wake through the night. Only when sick or my children are sick.
Needing any company?

Maybe this thread isn't seen as in off-topic? I hope it can be of use for someone (other than me).
Awoke choking so I'd thought I'd check-in. Nope, either everyone else is fine or not seen by many?

Here I am again. Woken by congestion and sore throat. I've took some sugar free decongestant and awaiting for 4hrs to pass since last co-codamol.
Someone told me not to take ibruprofen for a cough. Although I'm taking it for pain and inflammation. Decongestiant is helping breakdown my cough.
Moan over.
Anyone about?

I'm here.
I drugged myself up with co-codamol and sugar coated ibruprofen tablets. I must now check my sugar, it was high last night before my injection. I'm taking effervescent vit c too to fight this bug. Both things are raising my sugars. My fbg is 6.8 so not too bad considering 19.2 before injection. Guess my insulin resistance is different when I'm ill. Or the ibruprofen is helping with inflammation but not sugar. Sugar free one is better but I've ran out til monday.
I hope you slept ok in the end @tina_marie .

Will you get a chance later?
Alot going on @tina_marie . I bet a lot of frustration. Its aweful to see a grown man cry, even with frustration.
Is Ron a patient person normally? He'll come through this... and you. I promise you once more settled you both will enjoy everything again. Its just a little bit longer hun. X
You can join a good carers forum. They will be able to offer you additional support as this diabetes one is more for Ron's condition and I bet gets a bit overwhelming. Mr ickihun moans on his 2 best friends, which I'm thankful he has. They support him and he supports them.
You have to have some support too hun. Anyone can sit with Ron so you can have a coffee morning with girlfriends? Try start enjoying the things which have been put on hold. You won't look back. No one would expect you to be available 24/7. Even carers allowances only covers for 36hrs because they know you have your own needs too.
What hands on support have you got? An hour or so every so often can make all the difference. What do you think? Be honest. I just want you happy. I admire what you are doing and I'm here to support how I can. ♡♥♡

'Morning ickihun I hope you are able to be catching up on sleep. I think ibuprofen is a drug which is not suitable for diabetics and that paracetamol is the better option for us. Also drink plenty of fluid, lemon plus hot water with a little honey if your blood sugar can take it. It's fructose and slow release sugar. Chicken soup too.

(For the last couple of nights I have woken to pain in my right knee tendon but by rubbing some Algesal cream the pain subsides almost immediately.)

I'll pop back here later to see how things are going for you.

I had a solid 4hrs on co-codamol, ibuprofen and sugar free cough liquid. Covered in Olbas oil too. I've woke more myself.
Staying off naproxen but ibuprofen is helping. Sugar free liquid is even better. Breathlessness more obvious again as cold is lifting.
Oh multivitamins are being consumed too!
Thanks @asparagusp :)

When I can't sleep, which is often, I just start doing crunches and press ups until I'm cream crackered! Usually fall right off to sleep after that :woot:

You might be exercising too much near bedtime. Also going to bed too early. Tweek it and see if any better @mist. Have you seen a specialist?

I've talked to my GP about it but he doesn't seem to think it's much of an issue. (Considering my other problems)

It's no big deal for me really, I get to stay in touch with my overseas friends a lot more, usually the differing time zones can be problematic.

Always an upside to everything..;)

Hello fellow insomniacs! I work 3 days a week and the night before each shift I'm lucky if I get 3 hours! The joys of hating my job! On break now and already looking forward to bedtime. Off tomo so know I'll sleep tonight
