Wow, you're really thinking about this. Self-harming is a very real problem, and unnecessarily restricting your diet is a symptom.
We all think about diet, more than we ought to. It's not terrible to be a stone or two overweight, as long as the trend is down.

Me, and a job delivering milk on a hill in ice in winter.
Sadly, I was running, with glass, and it didn't go well!
But, after a trip to A&E, and, as usual, excellent care from the NHS, I was back at it shortly afterwards, complete with bandage, and working fingers!
I still have the scar on my wrist, but in spite of several severed tendons, I have a full set of working fingers to this date.
(I put my hand through a window once. Stupidly, shutting a door, I missed, and put my hand through the glass. So, working offshore, and going out the next day I spent a fortnight on a rig in the north sea, having flown out with my thumb and a lot of duct tape around it, rather than be a 'no show'. It turned out fine, but I never took my glove off!
I just looked, I still have the scar!
