Good Morning! 5.2 at 0400 today.
I was 5.2 at 10pm last night too.

No meds yesterday as changing to metformin sl on Monday. Readings before breakfast 6 after 5.9, lunch 5.9 after 5.7, dinner 6 after 6.1. The question now is do I need meds or should I try to control with diet only?

6.5 best readings far since November

yesterday i had
6:30 porridge with added flax seeds
10.00 bag of salt and shake crisps
11:30 250 g fruit
12:30 250 g fruit
12:45 100 g Morrisons chilli seeds
1.00 40 g pumpkin seeds
2:00 bag of quavers
7:00 I had 125 g spelt pasta , homemade tomato sauce and 2 sausages

I thought i would try splitting the fruit rather than eat it in one go, in my case my body handled the BG ok after the fruit, it has always been the about same before the meal compared to 2-3 hrs after the meal.

Also i thought as i normally only have meals with only protein or carbs, i would balance it out, thus the extra sausages.

That type of food would send my BG into orbit. Why so carb heavy??
