ThanksHi, rosajean. Most of us on the forum are not medical experts and can only share our experiences in the hope of helping others. Gliclazide can cause hypos. Your score of 4.4 was not technically a hypo but you can still feel the shakes etc at that level. I am also taking Metformin and Gliclazide. My dose of Gliclazide was increased a while ago as my HbA1c had gone up but I was also cutting down my carbs and increasing my exercise so I started having hypos. I rang my GP's surgery and they reduced my dose. I have been fine since. That's why I suggested contacting your medical team. Early days for you. I'm sure you will be fine. Best wishes.![]()
Thanks I will talk to gp about this, as you say driving with the shakes is not fun. For me it was the first time driving after being diagnosed and it has put me off driving again until this is sorted.Wary about gliclazide

Wet, dark and gloomy here this morning.
As a result morning walk was cut short before it got going. So no chance to burn down my 6,4 mmol/l morning glucose level. Fortunately I had the foresight to fit in a walk last night so at least my total distance walked so far this month is still fine.
Better stay dry inside and enjoy the sight of the rain. Morning walk can wait.

At least my garden will be grateful for the rain.
