I know when I had my first blood test for diabetes, the hospital called me during the night saying I should go to hospital, I refused but did say then that I would see my gp that morning which I did. So if the hospital found anything sinister then would have had a callAlly, what on earth has the hospital got to do with it? The bloods were taken at the surgery. They go off to the lab, the lab sends the results back to the surgery, electronically. Either the lab is being slow or the GP or the DN are sitting on them. The receptionist is waffling and fobbing you off.
That's interesting. If you had asked me that 10 years ago, I would have said defo.ally I had a dry mouth a while back. Like you I was told to buy an expensive synthetic saliva spray, my GP said he couldn't prescribe it for me. When this didn't help he prescribed me some tablets as the dryness may have been caused by acid reflux. I had had a few occasions of waking up and bringing up liquid, but it never had an acidic taste so the thought hadn't occurred to me that this could be the reason. I wondered if this might be what's happening with you too? The dryness caused me to lose my voice too, but then I often get laryngitis, I lost my voice completely for 6 weeks when I was a child.
Thank youI hope the conversion goes well and is productive. In my experience, GP telephone calls are normally after surgery hours, either morning or afternoon. My GP has called me twice about 6pm or thereabouts.
Would it help to think of the phone call as simply a stepping stone to access the other gp on Wednesday? I am vibing for you xxxThank you
As time goes on, the more I Don, t want to speak to him.
I have mentioned to him so many times about my mouth and nothing is done. Even the DN did,nt get anywhere so I won,t.
I am like this when waiting for certain phone calls too. Thinking of you, hope it goes well, you deserve it.Thank you
