What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning everyone. Had a very restless night and could not sleep very well. Had been experiencing diarrhoea and wonder if metformin is to be blamed. Been okay with it for a while but seems to be playing up again. Has anyone experience on and off problem with metformin?

First thing this morning was 7.1 gasps in horror, reprick then 6.6 still higher than expected, maybe our low carb Eurovision snackfest wasn’t low carb enough - or maybe just the fact of grazing through the evening rather than eating as a meal. Who knows, anyway I stomped off back to bed in a huff and now it’s 5.8 much happier!

@Cumberland hope you feel ok soon, sending plenty hugs your way.

@DJC3 hug accepted thanks

Morning folks, 4.9 from me this morning. @Cumberland I hope everything settles down for you asap. Two really good night's sleep following much more exercise outside - return of my dearly beloved lawn mower and playing with new Stihl toys. Good sleep is definitely a major asset in managing this condition. People say "you can't out exercise a bad diet" but sleep quality is now being implicated in a slew of C21st ills.

@ianspurs thank you from Ian aka Cumberland

5.8 at 08:45 this morning red wine yesterday . Didn’t seem to drop me as low as it normally does . But had a big bowl of meatballs and cheese last night
HbA1c test tomorrow . 1st one since diagnosis in Feb hoping for a good result

Hey Peadair I was also diagnosed in Feb - I’ll keep an eye out for you. Good luck with your hba1c- my first one was a bit early, I was diagnosed at 78 and I reduced it to 66 so I was pleased, but I cannot come off my sitagliptin till I’m at 48. I will cross fingers for u.
