What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Summer continues apace in this Sceptred Isle so enjoy it while it lasts folks. Diabetes is determined to demonstrate to me just who has the whip hand in our relationship. If I am foolish enough to eat 2 meals a day, low carb or not, and/ or refuse to exercise more than once a day it will give me fbgs of 5.6 and offer more of the same with a veiled threat of worse if I don't behave. Starve or despair seem to be the choices lately.:banghead: No, the numbers are not life threatening but sanity deprivation hoves into view.

good morning all :)

4.8 today

our central heating boiler stopped working yesterday so no hot water on tap.

It could be worse, we don't need the heating just now and we can get a hot shower at mum's when we go over there with Sunday lunch :)

Given the weather forecast we're going to try for a 'barbie' today, Cubes of chicken wrapped in streaky bacon and LC sausages with peppers and mushrooms plus salad and coleslaw. Pudding will be a try out of the latest ice cream, the rum and raisin mr. gee requested.

Hope your weekend is going well.

@geefull Hug for the demise of your boiler and imminent walletexctomy! Your bg levels need no hugs. The rum and raisin ice cream sounds good, we haven't tried that yet so may run it up the flagpole and see who salutes. As regards central heating malfunctions, our pump died one Christmas day morning with family coming. Our British Gas contract covered it and we had a new one installed by 10.30 - bullet dodged!

Blimey. I recall a few years back when ours went and it took several weeks to get fixed , we had a "fix it " contract too. Luckily we have an electric shower so hot water could be obtained, and it was summer......

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all left footed twitchers watch out for right footed grass snakes.

A self induced 10.1 this morning post midnight comfort eating is not a good idea.

Well folks what have you all planned for today ? In the Reading area some of the keen gardeners have been buying Indian rain dance costumes, I have also been pleading wif Mrs J not do her rain dance in the nude this time !

so keep doing what i am doing. .
@Canvaspic If it ain't broke don't fix it is one view - does lead to store closures but every action has an equal and opposite reaction and all that:) @alf_Josiah I don't think Gordon Lightfoot had you in mind when penning this ditty but certainly the title is germaine if the words are diametrically opposite to what one might stumble upon:angelic:

A spurs fan and a Gordon Lightfoot fan - you are a man of exquisite taste.
