Sham 69? wow that takes me back, was never a really big fan of them but agree a good way to wake up :hilarious:

Good morning y'all, another flat line thru the night, it may have been up at 12.6 but it was politely flat and soon politely dropped from the bolus when I got up, my neighbours appear to be out so my music system has had a work out to the point where the speaker cones were spraying dust :) :) but you can't beat a bit of Sham 69 to wake up with :)

But anyway have a good weekend!
Sham 69.....Winner

Woke to a 9 this morning. Pretty happy to say the least. A few rum and diet comes last night seemed to work lol. We are out with our friends ds tonite....bowling food and lager....This is going to be a test on my carb counting

My brother and SIL used to live in Weston-super-mare, and we 'bumped' into them on a day trip out to Cheddar Gorge, they were both out for a Sunday afternoon stroll, they have both retired now and have moved to Devon.
Somerset is a lovely county.
I live about 13 miles from both Cheddar Gorge and W-S-M which we tend to avoid in the summer unless visiting my brother who lives in Cheddar. Needless to say the M5 was ‘rumbling’ through the night with everyone coming down for their summer hols. I think they all have the same idea and leave early to beat the jams!!!

Was low last night before the beauty sleep so did not correct for the home made Chinese stir fry.

3 Jaffa cakes plus noodles up at 12.3 and can see from Etch A Sketch it's been going up since before midnight.

Not a disaster, brekky/coffee then need to go the shops then gym, then filter coffee mid morning.

Have a fun day.

@Juicyj Harry Potter World? Know a couple of people who have been and come back with good reviews :)
Hi @Knikki You don't really need beauty sleep do you ??

And how much cheese to you buy and eat ?

Morning all, I had a restful undisturbed night, which was lovely. It rained during the night and unusually for me, I didn't hear it ! I am looking for some paperwork, so I decided to clear out the kitchen drawer, but had to have a rest,t haven't found what I am looking for, so I will try the other drawer's over the weekend .................:nailbiting: :nailbiting:
Happy Saturday friends :)
Happy digging !!

If, like you, you know where to go, there’s some beautiful countryside round your way!

Extra strong local cheddar cheese is the best! Lovely stuff! But beware the witch in Wookey Hole!
The farmer who ‘discovered’ the caves at cheddar did so when he fell through a hole in the limestone, poor man. There were skeletons of animals there who’d done the same. Lots of tourists and guides now but the caves had been lived in during the Neolithic.

Husband into punk! I suppose I ended up there by default. Ironically I enjoy and appreciate more now than then. He was also into the Jam and Elvis Costello, went to see Elvis at the Lincoln Drill Hall. Turned my nose up, but wouldn’t now. My big love of the time was Status Quo, still is, been numerous times. In fact them and Def Leopard and Bon Jovi can get me up dancing anytime. Bit of a rocker!!

Hehe. Your neighbour may have enjoyed it

Hmmm, they've listened to me learning 3 chords to play on a guitar for the last 9 years.

Ah but were The Stranglers really punk. More new wave, whatever that meant as these guys were decent musicians unlike many punk bands which were simply 3 chords and loads of attitude

Do you mean there's more than 3 chords then? :p :)

If you apply the argument about being musicians, then Marguee Moon, by Television isn't punk either.

I’M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Lost in France?????????? More like Stricken in Somerset :banghead::banghead::banghead:.
Apparently I’ve not been able to connect to server since Wednesday. Back home now, if there’s only one good thing about home it’s the fact tinternet works.
Great , fantastic, brilliant week with grandkids.
Based at Wedmore just shy of Cheddar Gorge. Wholeheartedly concur Cheddear is wonderful. Visited W-S-M which wasn’t particularly to our tastes. Horses for courses I guess. Burnham on sea best left for another discussion.
Wookey Hole, good.
Puxford Park. v. good.
Swimming at Wells leisure centre. good.

Digs were outstanding, field/ hill behind offered great views of surroundings. Must have climbed up and down 10 times a day.
Picnics, playing and just sitting and relaxing. Special memories a plenty.

Hope all you guys are okay:):):)
