What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. Not shorts friendly weather to start the day but plenty of sun. 5.8 after basic animal husbandry and little sips of tea rather than immediately on arising and washing hands. Probably fair after incorporating a few more carb laden pleasures into yesterday. World of difference between what my intellect can accept and what my emotions do. I am going to hide behind Shakespeare today
O, reason not the need! Our basest beggars
Are in the poorest thing superfluous.
Allow not nature more than nature needs,
Man’s life is cheap as beast’s
@PenguinMum hope the knees soon stop being a trouble - quite a few days so unsurprising numbers. @Ziggy2017 I can't begin to describe my admiration for your resilience. Everyone else, take care and feel free to ignore the shambles that I am.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen. Their is no truth in the rumour that the men in white coats had caught me, but it was close, hence in hiding for the last few days.

Blood sugars this morning were 6.2.

Well folks get out there and enjoy yourselves, merriment is the solution.

Yours still in hiding.

But, for true need—
You heavens, give me that patience, patience I need.
You see me here, you gods, a poor old man,
As full of grief as age, wretched in both.

That took me back to my student days John...studying at The South Bank & working in the National Theatre (now The Royal National Theatre) Sir Peter Hall was about to leave as director so to celebrate his tenure there they played King Lear...A Winters Tale...Cymbeline & The Tempest...I'm not sure I appreciated my time there way back when as much as I do now...the after parties were fabulous.

Thank you Ian :)

Morning all

5.2 today from the sunny but chilly north west.

My little bit of chat is:

Well I'm a little excited. There is a chance that i will be on BBC breakfast tv this Saturday morning.

This goes out to 7 million viewers!

It surrounds the story of Mike's bench (see link below). I was one of the many who wrote to Elizabeth. I wrote to her in January, just as I was trying to get my head around my t2d diagnosis and working on a way to reverse it. It involved lots of walking around this beautiful park, and sitting on Mike's bench for a breather! And constantly taking photos with my trusty samsung mobile from there as its just a magical spot. Photos not pro but I felt there was potential!!! Another 5 years practice might improve them!

She has personally invited me to the BBC filming tomorrow. There are 2 stories being told and if they can fit in 3 I'm going to be that number!!! Mike's bench is an amazing space. In such a beautiful park. It's a sad story with a happy ending. Much the same as many of ours.

Mike's bench inspired me to ask if anyone on the forum wanted to send me their stories. And the end product (still a work in progress) is our powerful inspirational stories booklet. I really hope they can interview 3. I will be the one frantically waving our booklet around and talking about how we have regained control of our health by LCHF and lost weight too!

Keep your fingers crossed.

good morning all :)

4.6 today

sun is out but it's chilly, didn't have the usual walk yesterday with mum's dog because it was lashing down and I seem to have developed the seasonal cold and sore throat too :(
Hope for better today :)

Hope your day is a good one everyone :)
@geefull Great numbers as per. I hope your version of the seasonal cold and sore throat is less trouble to clear than some others. People seem to have had trouble clearing some of these bugs from their system.

7.7 at 7.10 am. Bedtime reading was 6.3 at 11 pm. Frustrating after a 5.4 yesterday.

Absolutely gorgeous morning here - blue sky, trees at their autumn best and a bit sharp - just the way I like it. Had a medical appointment at 9 am and walked there and back so that's four miles done already today.

Have a great day everybody.
