I’ve recently started to take more exercise in walking for 20,000 paces per day instead of the normal 10,000/day. Mostly brisk and my BS levels have been repeated reduced to 5.5 first thing and prior to meals at both lunch and evening meal.
Does the body’s metabolic rate continue during rest period between meals which my recent tests suggest?

got home tonight and wanted to finish off the 'thank you's' for the nice words,

And once again to say thank YOU for being there, posting in support, or
maybe pointing me in the right direction.

I Honestly would not be doing anywhere near as well, if i hadn't had the good fortune to find the forum,
and then hitting the jackpot finding you guys
.
Really am most grateful, for all the help and assistance..

Love you all..xx

Stealing the moment while i still can....:D
and trying to be serious for a minute.

My mood HAS honestly been off, and i couldn't work out why.

But i think i may have worked it out today, in my own little way.

When diagnosed, it was a shock, life was turned upside down, you all know the score.
then i found salvation, in you lot.
a bunch of renegades ..all on the run from the 'health' police.
fighting your way through a jungle of lies, statistics and misinformation, where danger lurks at every turn.

And i finally found a had a place of safety.

Where i could catch my breath, take stock of the situation, seek wise counsel,,and format a survival strategy.

And mine was to listen, experiment and do whatever it took, to get to january for my HBA1c,
and bring that sucker down from the high 50's

And i did...so i should have been ecstatic, right.?
yet i felt flat, scared even, and i now i think i know what it was.

i think it's because it meant that i had escaped that cocoon of first being rescued.
the novelty, to use an awful description, has worn off..and now i have to move on.

( a bit like growing up and leaving home, perhaps) and thread a pathway to
normalise the fact i have to live with this condition, forever.

And now i've taken a moment, i'm good with that.
(sure many will have been there in some way, so i know i'm not alone in that)

Phase one has ended..
Bring on Phase two

The KING is Dead.
Long Live the KING.

Well it’s a 6.1 at 0600. Serves me right, I had a sneaky bowl of uncooked porridge oats with full fat milk and berries at 2100.
Friday - last day of the long weekend. Off to Birmingham for the short weekend to see family.
Have a great day if you can.
