What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@jjraak so sorry about the loss of your cat.

He brought things through the cat flap that really shouldnt have been possible!
He was a right character, could be asleep anywhere but change a bed and he would be there instantly.

We now have two rescue girls Bobs and Daisy

If you (or Karen) feel able to I can tell you its very rewarding to adopt a troubled animal. You may remember @johnpol recently talked about fostering Fossie dog. Whether its cats or dogs same thing.

Thanks for that @PenguinMum
you cat sound a lovable handful..

Nor sure on the rescue pet idea..missus not keen about another pet..maybe it hurts more then i think.
but i do bring it up occasionally.
respect to you for the effrots YOU make and to @johnpol ..i did follow the thread posts and a sad for him, but lovely ending for the Cone of shame dog...:)

take care.
love to all.x

@karen8967 and @jjraak
but I remember the Christmas 3 years later when she suddenly started to play with the tree lights I was taking down and trying to put away! She used to bring me a chipmunk in the mornings and in the evenings when I'd go outside and call her she used to come galloping home through the hedgerow just like Lassie. :)

aw, bless her..i love her already,xx

we holiday in goa india most years .
Missus has a menagerie of cats dogs cows spiders, wherever we go
(yes, spider. called.incey wincey..if you don't mind)

Any way home owner has cats, ( must give @ianpspurs his business card ;))

we love cats, so it's not a problem and they come & stay with us for the three weeks
usually.tapping and meowing at out door to get up and feed them.

last year we took on one of the gingers kittens..eventually earned her trust to pet then feed them.
as gratitude..mummy cat came and dropped a chipmunk at the wifes feet...

(hahaha...the roar and the look on her face...:hilarious: )

Well guard duty IS tiring ..and whatever it is ..it's clearly working... ..No mouse ;)

Forgot to post. 5.2 initially. I tried several more times and it kept going up. Either the battery on my meter is going oo I got a defective pot (also got an error message with 1 strip.) I know there's a margin of error but my gut says either the meter or strips weren't working.

When I try tomorow, I'd try strips from 2 different tubs.

Morning, 4.6 today, up early to feed the cat, went out last night with some old Rugby friends, other half also went out for her Woolworths 10 years closing reunion , thought I mite be on sick patrol as she rarely drinks but she's fine, have a good Sunday everyone.

Happy Sunday, @Goonergal and @philchap1 . Enjoy your football and cat-feeding!

Rugby as in school or Rugby as in game? Your OH's Woolworth's reunion made me feel nostalgic -- I used to love to shop at Woolworth's when I was little because the one near us had a mechanical horse we could ride for a dime. Did y'all's Woolworths have mechanical horses?

Good morning, everyone. Goodnight. :)

Goodnight @SaskiaKC

Morning All. A respectable 5.5 today. Yaaay!
Wet here so dont think a long park walk is on the cards. Need to help Mr P to go to the dump. We are slowly preparing for downsizing but prob wont happen this year.
Hope you all have a fun Sunday wherever you are. Stay well, stay safe.

Well today was an experience, woke up to a 16!!!

I had a takeaway with a friend last night and tried to eat only a small bit and as I had skipped lunch I thought it would be OK. Obviously not. You can never tell how much sugar or other extra’s they put in the dishes... last night I woke up 3 times feeling sick but stupidly didn’t get up to test as I felt so rough.

I’m currently getting ready to go on a long walk this morning to get them down. On the walk home I will find a shop to buy some eggs for breakfast...

Hope all of your sundays start better than mine :)
