What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Thanks for the mention - most welcome. I think my main bugbear is the logistics do not suit me at all. I could probably eat more in line with others if there was no testing after 2 hrs - I can't eat this way by eating h/f protein and veg followed by some kind of LC fat laden course within the time frame needed for a 2 hr test. Overall the fat would probably be fine but to eat this way there is far too much in one go for me. Family meals stretch way longer but suit me much better. I would probably be best grazing all day and just testing at odd times.

There is a school of thought that teaches grazing. And since we humans have the teeth of herbivores rather than of carnivores it makes sense to me that we should graze or browse rather than gorge.

I realize that we are not, however, ruminants. (Thank goodness.)

On re-reading this, I'm not sure I understand the logistics you mean, @ianpspurs . For example, do you mean that family meals take you longer than 2 hours to eat?

Yes @Saskia a family meal i.e with 2 or more sons, wives and children will easily mean 3-4 hrs at the table. Not continuous eating but maybe an hour or 1.5 hrs between courses/parts of the meal.

Kind of disagree. If what I/we do works it works irrespective of testing so the continuation of testing should only confirm that. You can test a cabbage as often as you like, it is still a cabbage:)

Unless it's not so much green as cabbage-looking.
