5.9 this morning.....the first morning I've woken up in my own bed for over a month.....good to be finally home from hospital.

Still awake at 0300hrs with my stomach feeling as if my throat had been cut soooo raided the fridge (wasn’t selective). 6.9 at 0830hrs, even higher at lunchtime - I’ll try to behave this afternoon

Hi @VMK and welcome to the forum. Your blood sugars especially your fasting one will take a while to settle down. You have done the right thing joining this forum. Have a look at the useful info in the link called “Newly Diagnosed, What You Should Know” to be found in my signature.Unfortunately 6.9. I’m newly diagnosed and all over the place.....

6.3 at 0545hrs - not surprised as yesterday’s ‚Pièce de Résistance‘ was evening pizza (might as well go out with a bang on an already lousy day!). New start today

Argh, day 5 after diagnosis, day 3 with my monitor. 8.3 this morning when I woke up, and when I checked at 1 p.m. it was 8.4, still not eating anything and only drinking water. I was able to get down into the 5's yesterday.
