What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I’ve just eaten 1/2 my Hotel Chocolate 100% Dark Easter Egg!
It’s got dried fruit and nuts stuck into the inside of the shell bur still less than 6g/ 100g carbs. It is wonderful. I shouldn’t have scoffed so much I know, especially so late, sure my fbg will show it tomorrow but I am unrepentant and will definitely make a trip to HC next week in the hope they have some left and at a reduced price.

But what would you use to line the bottom of a guinea pig cage, or cat litter tray?

Really? People line a cat box with newspaper? I never heard of that. My cats get the royal treatment with 10 lb of clay litter in each box, scrubbed with spray cleaner (not smelly or chemically) often. Guarantees, in a multi-cat household, that there will be no fights over litter boxes that then erupt into truly bad behavior elsewhere. And then, if one cat departs from a carnivorous WOE, and makes messes, he's got lots of choices where to dump it!

I use it just to line the bottom of the litter tray - and put cat litter on top. No idea if that’s usual. I’m not really a cat person but daughter moved out to a flat which didn’t allow animals so we’ve been left with it. We are getting used to eachother.
I’m not a guinea pig person either, another daughter bought one home, turned out it was pregnant and now we have 3.

Lunch yesterday: Cut up prawns, and chopped up fine garlic chives (the green bit) omelette.
Dinner: Cold meat and salad.
Breakfast: Usual omelette, bacon etc.

Drinks: Black coffee no sugar / sweeteners, water, and a couple of beers.

I also have one of these. Had it a long time (this is a newer model). It cooks the pizza on a stone and the pizza that emerges is very authentic. I am intending using it again with the Dr Almond mix. Would probably work with your mix but it is quite large and quite pricey.

Giles & Posner EK2309 Italian Stone Baked Bella Pizza Maker Oven, 1200 W, Red https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01M1HUCOD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Qv4UCbCDMYVZW

That would take up half of my kitchen! Looks good though.

@DJC3 that happened to me with gerbils...
Revised supper, looked like a "heavy hors d'oeuvres" buffet : celery, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 leftover salmon burger, some chèvre, and a flax muffin. And slightly more than a corner of butter pecan ice cream. It would have been ok if I hadn't had erythritol in my afternoon DWC, as a test. Not sure I liked it.
Sleep well all, joyous Easter tomorrow!

Bed 7.4 FBG 7.1. Still going with surges but it is settling. I think @Chook you passed your DP to me. @zauberflote I wondered what was going on when I saw gerbils in your post in "what have you eaten" until I looked back and read @DJC3 about the guineas! No 1 would love you - they have 4 cats and 4 guineas! 2 of the cats are adopted strays and 2 of the guineas are babies.
Food wise I went OMAD yesterday and it brought me back in the 5's during the day.
B. Just coffee
L. Just coffee and water.
D. Chimichurri beef kebab, 4 halloumi chips wrapped in streaky bacon, kebab of red/yellow pepper, onion, mushroom and a mini salad of small avocado, shredded lettuce and tomato.
Scoop of Morrisons high protein cookie dough ice cream with raspberries (it's rather nice).
Happy Easter everyone. It's another glorious day here.

What a beautiful day!!!! We had breakfast in the garden and its only April. I do miss having little ones around at Easter - I used to love the Easter egg hunts and painting eggs and eating chocolate and hot cross buns for Easter Sunday breakfast. (I must admit to winding the click back a bit today and enjoying a couple of Montezuma choc buttons that Mr C treated me to).

So, today....

Pre-breakfast: two Montezuma chocolate buttons
Breakfast: Egg, bacon, high meat content chipolata sausages, mushrooms, couple of tablespoons of baked beans
Lunch: Maybe a small glass of kefir
Dinner: Iceland seafood dish (mussels, clams, squid, prawns in a light tomato sauce over konjac spaghetti
Drinks: decaffeinated black coffee, still spring water and red wine

My roast lamb dinner is scheduled for tomorrow due to Mr C working today.

Bed 7.8 FBG 7 - Still getting DP.
I was going to make that Nigella cake today but got highjacked to go look for a new cage for the guineas. Current cage has insufficient room for their see saw and bridge
B. TAG with ADOC
L. Nothing got too late and too much to do with hubby at football.
D. Little bit of smoked trout with a little bit shredded lettuce and prawn cocktail.
Roast leg of lamb (another Nigella recipe with garlic, bay leaves, rock salt and balsamic vinegar). Steamed broccoli, mange tout, asparagus and veggie chips.
Raspberries and scoop of Morrisons cookie dough with raspberries maybe.
Usual campari and soda.
Last day of Easter holidays tomorrow but I have the boys most of the day. Back to school Tuesday here and into the long countdown to summer.

Evening all and happy Easter.

Food started early today due to plans for the day. So breakfast was chocolate and pizza! Leftovers from last night of @dunelm s carnivorous pizza with pepperoni and polish sausage and the last of the home made ‘eggs’. Definitely better for a night in the fridge and the pizza is also good cold.

Long (11 mile) walk in the sun to rendezvous with some fellow goonergals and guys ahead of the footie.

Hoped would be an OMAD day but was ravenous by the end of Arsenal’s match (the less said about that the better). Dashed out of the ground and straight into Nando’s for 2 plain legs and a side of halloumi.

Home made eggs - I have just consulted with next doors chickens and they all firmly agree that you can’t string words together like that without elaboration.

Happy Easter all amazing sunny day just in garden soaking last of rays as it dips! I’m still working when possible on trying to convert my high ldl to vitamin D!
Breakfast high % pork sausage, bacon and egg
Lunch 2 slices home cooked gammon cold with vintage cheddar followed ny lc thin slice choc cake with cream
Dinner left over lamb curry with fizz followed by lc thin slice choc cake with cream( made a month or so ago and frozen) taken out of hibernation for Easter lc chocy treat.

B: particularly lush bacon and scram eggs
L: none
D: the largest profiterole, with 2 squares 70%lindt made into a portion of choc/cream sauce.

I also made a chicken curry, but doubt if i will want a portion.

Tsk, tsk, tsk,............. You'll not grow to be a big strong girl if you have your pudding before your dinner.

Our plan for the day was rack of lamb, plus all the bits, but this morning MrB asked if I'd mind if we swapped today's and tomorrow's intended dinner menus around, so it was gammon with all the bits today, and lamb for tomorrow.

A few weeks ago (before I went away!), I had had a fab gammon hock, which I did in the IP, mainly for main courrse soup. For soup, it would have been a waste to leave the rind on,so it had been removed and frozen. The resultant crackling, done in the air fryer was magnificent, and I have a clip top box full left.

I have another gammon hock vacuum packed, which will go the same way, alter in the week I think.

Huge gammon hock, £2.95, giving a coupl of gammon dinners, copious quantities of meaty soup, more ham stock and a load of crackling. Who says LC breaks the bank?
